I have been trying for weeks to get computer+ to work with no success.  I have uninstalled it, reinstalled it, tried all three most recent versions as well.  Every time I install and activate it in game, all that happens is a one second pause, and nothing.  I have also changed the key bindings so Computer+ is the only thing using the E key.  Please help.....

Anyone know of a way to get the old version back? I've been trying everything for the past couple of weeks and nothing fixes the crashing. The older version didn't have as many options but at least it worked.

how many mods do you have?

please  try to run lspdfr without mods and other plugins as starting point. if it's stable, you can try to add 1 or 2 plugins at a time... try and see... if it's stable.. add more...

remember, the visual mods, texture mods, model mods (cars & peds) will also affect memory usage in GTA.

 

i know it will take time.. but worth a try...

I have just about every mod on this website installed and it's always run great until this new update. Even with that in mind, I have already done what you are saying here and even with just Computer + installed, it crashes at the 2nd or 3rd ped lookup.

right now, the only solution I can see is getting the old stable version back until PierGud dishes out a new update to fix it.

This happens on every first launch of LSPDFR. I ALWAYS have to reload the plugin to get Computer+ to work. But, when I do, it just crashes. Uninstalled ALL of my callouts in hopes of maybe just doing lots and lots of traffic.. to no avail. Any work around?

yeah it def sounds like a ragehook compatibility issue, the past few rage hooks it worked fine, its honestly hard to play without the computer, adds so much too the game. 

I am expeirenceing some issues while installing this mod. The mod is installed and it tells me that if I hold "E" it will open the Computer + (also made sure it is correct in the ini file). Although when I attempt to open the Computer +, it doesn't lag the game, but it slows down the movement of vehicles and pedestrians walking and does not open the computer. I am not sure if I am doing anything wrong. Thanks.

I have tried to install Computer+ numerous times now, and it never works. I will load up, and go On Duty, and I hold down E, and my game just kind of pauses until I release E. I've tried getting rid of other plugins, and it does nothing. The plugins that depend on C+ acknowledge that it is in and working, but like I said, when I hold down E, my game just pauses and no window shows up. I really would like this to work but it just doesn't for me. I've tried changing screen res, etc, and nothing changes. I am on duty before I try, so it's not that. Thanks for any help.

Here's the Rage Log of the event... looks like it doesn't close the cache files when you exit the ped database and crashes when it tries to access it a 2nd time for the vehicle.

2. back out and go to the ped database and click that RO it'll crash

I have seen a lot of crash reports when we open the ped info or vehicle info windows.

Honestly I don't know exactly what the root cause of the crash, but from the exception message, it is related to memory crash / corrupt / leak.

 

I'm trying to localize what caused the leak. It might be the ped citation/arrest history feature which use extra memory to access local database.

It might also be some components on the Gwenform (the windows rendering library).

 

I would like to have a few tests to solve this memory leak issue.

My first test is by disabling the ped and vehicle picture, which is always loaded on those info windows.

^just played with this dll for 2 hours doing nothing but traffic stops and didn't crash once.

Awesome.. now we might have the main "suspect" for those crashes.

 

BTW. did you enable all the ped history generation feature? (the one that provide the ped's past citation/arrest)

@bejoljo I also have run two seperate test. Information below:

 

AMD FX 8350 @ 4.3GHZ

RAM 16GB

1060 Nvidia GeForce

 

With citation history on: 

 

For the most part stable with 1HR playtime, Had one crash of an LSPDFR Unrelated Plugin. Continued to run fine afterwards. I gave it what I call a stress test by rapidly opening and closing the menu; and going from ped to vehicle search repeatedly while menu is open. All ran fine during entire test, except for the crash stated above.

 

With citation history off:

 

All ran perfectly! same 1HR playtime. Ran both occupied and parked vehicles and same for peds. No issues to report. I gave it the same stress test and all was stable no crashed or glitches.

If I'm not mistaken , this is referring to any walking ped. For example, yesterday while I was palying, I saw two "shady" guys I wanted to check out. When I pulled up, they walked away. I use the stop feature and obtained their ID. One of them were publicly intoxicated so I went to computer+ ran his name, and issued him a ticket for public intoxication. Hopefully that help some.
