Need a good modeler to convert 3d model of 2011 Chevy Caprice

Featured Replies

It truly is sad how many people who have modeling skills for 3ds max/zmodeler make beautiful creations and then keep them to themselves but yet they come here and download other people's creations, quite honestly I find it to be selfish and ungrateful behavior, for example, I am looking for a marked version of the new chevy caprice for GTA V and have managed to find some youtube videos with a 2011 caprice but no download anywhere for it, it seems like someone wants to feel important being the only ones that have that mod, I have even seen people come just shy of making people beg for a release of such models.

I would like to purchase the 3d model seen here http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3ds-max---police/542296 of the 2011 chevy caprice however the model itself serves me no purpose as I have absolutely no modeling skills whatsoever. I need someone who would be able to convert it to GTA 5 for us all to enjoy, I will put up the cash but need someone else to do the work. I need someone with experience, someone who has a proven record of great 3d modeling skills who can make this thing look great in game. I do not have the time to learn to convert models so please do not suggest that.

Enough of the mod hoarding, if you download other peoples mods from sites like this and you have the skills to make/convert models yourself then you should post your work for others to use as well. Who am I to say this? Simply someone who is willing to put up some money to help create something for all of us.

If you have the skill needed to undertake such a task please let me know, there are many skins that I would like to use on a caprice in GTA 5 and I know other people have also been waiting for it for some time. Let's make it happen.

yup this community would be alot better place if everybody shared and actually wanted to make this a better place for all of us ..but u hit the nail on the head they dont feel important in their real life so this is the only way they can feel wanted and important pretty sad but thats the way it is right now but their are up and coming good modelers out and if they keep at it the future looks bright and by the way a friend of mine is converting a unmarked caprice should be done soon i will let you know dont know if he plans on releasing it but i will send you the model when its done

That would be awesome, I'm hoping someone with the right skill set will get back to me so we can get a marked model out there for anyone, people might think I'm crazy for spending so much on a model but to me it is absolutely worth it as it is something I know will be fun for all of us. that to me is worth it. I unlike some other folks would like to share with others on here in one way or another and since I cannot convert myself this is the only way I see of contributing to the community. I don't understand why some people need to be so selfish... Oh and by the way, I would like to make this project unlocked so people can go crazy putting their own style, lightbars wheels and other parts on it, Enough of the "you get what I give you" attitude. They are just 3d models not keys to your house. I guess I'm just tired of how selfish some people can be on here, By no means am I calling anyone out by name but come on... We all know there are people like that on here. This would be a much better community without those attitudes.

I don't think this is the issue. Good modders are well known within the community so if feeling important was their intention, sharing the mod would brush their ego as much.

I think it is just a matter of owning something unique, look at MMOs people look for the rare pieces of gear, the rare titles to show off so they can stand out in the crowd. And this is something that I can understand. This is more about not looking like everyone else than feeling important.

well i will have to disgree with you on this one , if that was the case then why give it out to a group of people and continue to show it off ??? i get the whole unique thing but thats when u keep it too your self and the people you want to have it not to throw it in everyones face and since they do release something  here and there well thats their ego gettin brushed for ya ...

As a vehicle modeler myself I will just share my own reason as to why I don't share all the models I build.

Most of my models I do not create the model itself with a 3d program as I'm not familiar with it. I'm pretty familiar or getting there with zmoddler as I go around but the fact that I don't release a model I build is usually because I fear the reticule of people crying out the model is stolen, you shouldn't do that, you should be banned, etc.

I can understand as I can spend personally up to a month making a model right that people feel there time is money and feel bad when someone just comes along and starts taking it apart for car components and what not but with the lock feature available for zmoddler you may find people releasing more stuff without fear of it being used by someone else.

When I create templates for others all I simply ask is to credit me so people can say wow that's a good job and took a lot of work. Who took the time to make it?

Idk just my .02 though

if you buy squir models get them directly from squir.com instead of turbosquid. is alot cheaper ($68)

quite cautious about squir models too, brought a couple but they were rubbish (or so the person who was converting it said)

parts not attached to the model, lights not correct. not major faults but at 86USD its cheaper than humster so you get what you pay for really

yup thats exactly right ,thats what i was  talking about the community shouldnt be like this and ive said many times that the veteran modelers should be trying to help the up and coming modelers with advice and sharing of parts but here its the opposite the vets try to block the new guys from using parts , etc.. now on the other hand the new modelers trying to make their way should always credit where its do..imagine if albo and finkone and all the other great coders out there simply didnt release anything because they thought a  couple lines of their code was gonna get stolen well then there is no police radio , no traffic policier, arrest manager , emergency strobes you get the point lspdfr would be pretty bleak if not for them trusting and wanting better for this community
