Applied Vehicle Skins Won't Appear.

Featured Replies

Hello,

I applied Los Santos Fire Department Overhaul 2.0.1 by NefariousBonne, and seems like I am only one who is having this problem.

I do know how to install vehicle skins, I have successfully installed, and changed several skins for the police vehicles many times.

However, when it comes to the Fire, and EMS vehicles still appears with original in-game skin. Even though I did replace the skin with OpenIV.

Am I doing something wrong? Did I forget anything? Is there any difference changing police vehicle skin, comparing to the Fire/EMS vehicle skins?

Any advice will be a great help to me.

Thank you.

Some vehicle models have been updated and do not load from x64e.rpf anymore.

Best practice is to make sure you put all updated vehicle model and texture files in the latest patchday DLC that has a vehicles.rpf in it (patchday9ng as of the lowriders2 update). This way, they are guaranteed to be loaded instead of any other version of the files, and this can also be done with all ped files, too.

See if that fixes it. Otherwise, it might be some installation error.

Also, if the model has 2 .ytd files, make sure that skins are replaced in both of them, some models have duplicated skins in both their .ytd files for some reason.

Maybe try and place the skins in the hi ytd file.

This might the reason why. I didn't see there were two ytd files. Many Thanks for the help guys. I really appreciate it.

I will give it a shot.
