Hi guys,

 

So I updated my game, plugins, scripthook and rage (to 0.37) and whenever I launch the game it loads for a about a minute then crashes.

EDIT;  I have fixed my game now, All in needed to do was update my mods folder to add the stuff from the latest update ... I had to do the same thing last time but couldn't remember.

fixed problem

You probably won't like the sound of this but reinstall everything and start lspdfr with no plugins or mods! Then you start adding your plugins one by one. 

Yeah, you should do this first, but there is no guarantee that it will work after this. For some new installed GTA with Rage only crashes.

Ok i guess i will try that, as i just ran gta without rage and it still crashed.

It's always good to have a back up copy of gta v that's vanilla(no plugins/no mods), if you have the space. When gta v updated I reverted back to 617 and kept playing! Today I went ahead and upgrade back to the new version and updated ragehook and it crashed everything. So I deleted the entire gta v folder and went to my back up copy and everything works perfect

Oh yes, don't worry i have a vanilla backup!

it's just annoying reinstalling all plugins haha

I bought GTA on Saturday, modded it Monday and Tuesday, played Tuesday evening a little bit of story and lspdfr, thought to myself a backup would be nice and planned to do it wednesday. wednesday I start my steam, GTA updates and everything is a hot mess right now. :(

Oh no! D: Make sure to set in steam not to auto update GTA. I had mine on auto update for a while and whenever the game updated i suddenly panicked because I didn't know whether i had my modded one or vanilla in my steam directory lol

I have fixed my game now btw, All in needed to do was update my mods folder to add the stuff from the latest update ... I had to do the same thing last time but couldn't remember.

Damn that sucks. I would be piss, I hope you get everything running soon and when you do, make that back up!

I'm glad it's working now

When it's running again, I will make a back up for sure, but right now, I just sit here and wait, if anybody has a working solution or if rage gets updated again, because I get chrashes with vanilla GTA and only rage and scripthook. So guys, feel lucky when your game runs right now.

Updated mine also and now crashes soon as i go on duty..soon as i choose a police ped it completely crashes. and like an idiot I didn't make a mods folder
