Hey all,

I'm accessing this website from Korea. Last week I had no problem getting on, now I get this message:

Your client IP address or network is blocked from the G17 Media network.

I can only access LCPDFR.com through a VPN now, which I am on my second one now that the first one seems to be blocked now too. Any thoughts?

We received a massive attack from Korea Telecom, and unfortunately the best solution was to blacklist Korea Telecom.

If we receive any reply to the abuse message we sent to them, we may unblock Korea Telecom. However, we have not received any reply so it remains blocked.

Wait a telecommunications company is attacking this site?  Like a DDOS attack?  That doesn't make any sense...

I don't think he was trying to say that the company was attacking the site directly, rather that the attack was coming from them because the attack was from their customers.

Its most likely not the company themselves but one of the customers who is attacking the site. Cyan wants them to shut down that customer who is committing the abuse.

Ahhh gotcha, haha.  I was really confused as to why a telecommunications company was attacking LCPDFR.com......   That makes much more sense, thanks!

Cyan,

Thank you for the reply. Hopefully I can continue to access the site as I am now. I've seen LSPDFR vids on Youtube and love that I can play GTA V as a good guy. Being a police enthusiast, this seems to be the game I've waited a long time for. I am currently a UH60 pilot in the U.S. Army here in Korea, but this is a cool way to pass the little time I have off. The website is awesome, keep up the good work.

I am currently in South Korea, and I was also wondering why you guys blocked South Korean IP address.

I guess I know the reason why now. It would be great LCPDFR.com will be open for the Korean IPs again. It is a pain to use VPN just for this website.

We will soon be allowing Korean Telecom IPs back on to the website.

Please note that you will not be able to register from Korea Telecom. Accounts are not needed on our site for downloads. However, if you are using Korea Telecom and you'd like an account on the site, after this restriction is in place, then please open a ticket on our external ticket system.
