Re-installed GTA IV, LCPDFR first, and barely any mods, game crashes.

Featured Replies

Well the first thing I did after I re-installed GTA IV was to install the latest version of LCPDFR (0.95 RC2). The next was to install some Non-ELS car mod and gun and explosion sound mods. When installing LCPDFR, I received this error:

Installation component 'LCPDFRModels' error'd!

My GTA IV also refuses to start.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out..

I can easily uninstall and re-install GTA IV, and then try to install LCPDFR right after, with no mods. I have a full backup of my /imgs, so I'll move those in now.

EDIT: Added all /pc/models/cdimages/ .imgs back, game still crashes.

Wrong section, belongs in LCPDFR Support, I'll move the thread for you, but from here on out you must post in the LCPDFR Support section to anything regarding issues with the mod, other wise that thread will most likely be closed by moderator, thanks, JAM.

Come on man, you've gotta look at some of the other support threads before you post.

This will fix your installer issue:

Okay, Run installer as Admin, and make sure your GTA Folder is not read-only.

This is a very common issue...

Then run the G17 debug tool if you still have issues starting the game and it might tell us what's going on. It could be anything to do with your version of the game or anything that the mod installer might have tried to install like the asi loader.

Did what you said, was able to get in game. I went past the first spawn's precinct and pressed ALT + P, several seconds later, I got a GTA IV fatal error and crashed. Going to uninstall and re-install with no mods whatsoever, only LCPDFR. I'll post an update soon.

Update: uninstalled GTA IV, re-installed. The ONLY thing that I installed was 0.95 RC2. I went in game, went on duty, drove a little, and crashed. Can anyone please help?

Um.. is that a command prompt window launching the game?

You need to update the game. That method was removed ages ago.

I updated the patch to EN7. That was one problem. Now my friend's getting the same thing, we run past the first spawn's Hove Beach PD with ALT + P on and we crash. No mods, only LCPDFR.

EDIT: My friend just got it again, without ALT + P on. I think this may be an LCPDFR RC2 issue.

NEXT EDIT: We both downgraded to LCPDFR 0.91, still crashed at the same point. I crashed upon clicking ALT + P instead of running past the PD. I'll move the /scripts folder out, and see if that works.

ANOTHER EDIT: After removing /scripts, I went in game and was able to get far away from the normal area of crashing. I got in a shootout with LCPD, and then the same fatal error occurred. I'll try anything to fix this, but it is happening to myself and my friend; which I really don't understand. Could it be one of the auto-included files in the LCPDFR installer? Here's what I get in LCPDFR's error log, I'm able to provide other logs as well; if needed.

Anooooother edit: Removed read-only, I now crash immediately after clicking ALT + P, just like the old edit.

SMPA60 is usually an error about modded vehicles. Are you playing on a savefile that you've had modded vehicles on before?

Also please run the diagnostic tool and post your log.

LCPDFR using a clean GTA installation (either 1.0.7.0 or EFLC 1.1.2.0) won't crash your game. Crashes are either caused by bad GTA code or by other mods.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

I was dealing with SMPA60 today. It was car model mod problem, which was missing after starting backuped GTA on old save. If u were using any car mods before, load em or start the game on a blank save.

If its car mod related problem, this should work.

SMPA60 errors are not caused by LCPDFR. Either do a clean installation of GTA IV or ask your question in GTA IV Support.
