Removing Photos

Featured Replies

Hey Community And Members

Welcome...Officer19

I Have A Suggestion And In the Same Time It's A Question Why We Have To Report A Pictures To Remove It

It's My Profile

And I think We Don't Have To Get A Permission To Remove A Photo From My Profile

So I Need To Know The Reason Or Point Of Views

Why We Have To Get Or To Do A report TO Remove Any PicS....

Just don't insult or demeaned big or small efforts because i know that you can't do it so calm down and just watch their awesome work

We do not want members to move gallery images, partly because of how IPB works and because we want to have control over how images are displayed. Out of a moderation point of view, It'd be a nightmare of gallery images would get deleted, moved or hidden.

We thank you for your feedback, but at the moment we have no plans to change this.

It's not even that -- we used to have incidents on the old software where users could edit their post to say whatever they wanted. IPB 3 would not keep any log, so we wouldn't be able to act on anything if a user had broke our rules and simply edited it to make their post seem more tame.

Luckily IPB4 now keeps an edit log for moderation staff.

We'll probably allow users to hide their own images in the future, as hiding still allows moderators to see it. It's less that we want control, and more that we don't want users uploading porn, then simply deleting it when they see a moderator online.

Okay Thanks For Your Help @Cyan

That hasn't happened before...hold on it has...I'm glad this update was made in IPB 4 though, I can recall when I needed to take a few images down but had to wait.

It's For Caution ....
