  • I wonder though, if these officers had carried a taser, would it really have stopped a charging pitbull? I have to agree with Nicolai. Carrying a firearm is a necessary evil these days for police offi

I think EVI was commenting on how ridiculous the UK justice system is, I hardly ever hear of anyone actually being prosecuted at a court on the UK cops shows that I watch.

Oh, I know it's ridiculous. Here you can get away with anything. Deal meth, get 4 months maximum. Manslaughter 8. It's so stupid its unreal and they wonder why crime rates are on the rise.

I just watched a Motorway Cops episode, two females gets done for shoplifting, with the stolen good in the car, CPS doesn't prosecute, female rear-ends a driver at the M6 toll, CPS doesn't prosecute, guy has road rage fit, gets charged under public order, receives official police caution.

I honestly do not understand why anyone would want to be a copper in Britain, it just seems pointless in so many different ways.

@NicolaiB, why do you say it would be pointless in so many way's?

Because punishments seem to be extremely light.

In the way the superiors, let alone the government treats the police, they're grossly underfunded to the point where it's close to not functioning, one example is SNT teams in London who has to share a mobile phone between four officers, BMW also sponsored at least four cars for the Metropolitan Police.

The CPS also seems unable to prosecute people, even when they have evidence, you will see this if you check out "UKPOLICE3" on YouTube, especially the "Motorway cops" shows how bad it is, never being charged, nor does the CPS provide evidence in court, one example being a case involving the ever gorgeous PC Rojek from the CMPG, they stopped a vehicle, upon searching the motor, a not insignificant amount of class A was found badly concealed in the spare tyre compartment, open and shut case for the CPS, yet they failed to present any evidence when the case was at court

The criminals themselves are also let off way too easy when they do get prosecuted, another case involving a RTC that later evolved into a fatal RTC, the driver that caused it was sentenced to four years in prison for "death by dangerous driving", four years for killing someone, that is disgusting.

I hope I've made myself clear as to why I see it as pointless.
