Game won't start with dsound!?

I can run GTA IV with LCPDFR .95RC2 with xlive but I would like to go online and when I replace xlive.ddl with dsound and launch my game as an administrator I get Fatal Error WS10 and the game says xNet failed to start!

What should I do?

Simple don't use Dsound...not all of us use it. Use the x one.

Incorrect, HolyOrangeJuice, I favor the multiplayer features of the game, thus I use Dsound - works fine with LCPDFR for me.

Did you remember to run the game as an admin, Bogle?

None of us? If anything XliveLess is more troublesome, I have used Dsound and Yaasil without problems for ages.

The WS10 error, indicates a problem with "Games For Windows Live". Uninstalling then reinstalling it should fix it.

I am not incorrect. You can use whichever you want to play the game. You may lose certain features....I use Dsound..works.
