Definitely waiting then. The last thing I want is Windows telling me "colour" is spelt wrong.

Lol this is the most petty thing I've ever read.

I'm personally not upgrading yet because there are quite a few games that I'm thinking may have compatibility issues with Windows 10, look, even Windows 8 requires tinkering to get GTA IV working.
I won't be upgrading this computer anyway, since I should be getting a new one by the end of this year.

The only game I've had problems with on 10 is Guild Wars 2, and I'm pretty sure it's an NVidia driver problem.

I'll be upgrading to Windows 10, although i'm going to leave it for a few days to see what everyone thinks of it. Windows 10 seems more.. updated and better than Windows 7, although i don't particular

  • I have it as-well but my performance in GTA V has dropped around 5-7 FPS. That might not seem like a lot but you do see the difference. The OS itself is absolutely amazing. I will never go back and I

Good to see they made a fresh/clean install such a farce. I can only imagine how badly computers that have been "upgraded" from 7 to 8 to 10 run. Thank fuck I only have to download the thing once for my two damn installs on one machine.

Has anyone here actually done a clean install or has everyone sludged up their computers with an upgrade?

You are using the WRONG right theme!

Installed Windows 10, had Nvidia Driver issues from the start. rolled back to Windows 8.1

10/10 - 1 hour of installing and uninstalling Win 10 well spent

Overall. I did like the new look the taskbar had. Other than that I cant really say much about it. I didn't get to experience much of it because of issues right from the start. I have a Gtx 970 and right after the upgrade my video card was not recognized. All drivers were installed but unavailable. Downloading Nvidia's latest driver compatible with Win 10 and running it, It shows that nothing is installed and wouldn't give me an option to install any of the drivers. Just a button to close driver install. My pc was running with the intergraded graphics driver and resolution was crap. super huge icons and blurred text. I did spent 3 hours looking for fixes and troubleshooting solutions but none seem to work. I'm sticking with Win 8.1 for now. After updates to Win 10 from Microsoft get released, then I'll consider downloading it again.

Does the updater back up everything from your old system or is it just the OS?

I'm not sure, I'm guessing just the OS.

You have 3 options:

1. All your files, settings and programs will be saved.
or
2. Your personal files will be saved, but no settings or programs will be saved.
or
3. Nothing. Your OS drive will be formatted and everything on it lost.

Oh, well if I knew that, I'd probably be running W10 right now.
