  • It's clearly been made with an animating program, although if V looked like that I'd probably need a clean up on aisle 3

Either the game is laggy or the Minimap is from the future. If you watch carefully, you can see the arrow turn before the car does when it is at the top.

I highly doubt that's real, it's very similar to another video that was claimed to be GTA:V, the graphics in the video does not correspond to the graphics in the trailer.

The terrain and vegetation is far to high poly to work on the consoles, and the coordinates does not change at any point, the car also looks decidedly un-GTAish to me, and the guy driving is black, the voice of the trailer sounded white.

That does not even look close to GTA 5. I also agree with Harper it all does look animated, and the graphics don't seem that good. I don't think we will see something on GTA 5 besides it's trailer.

What are you on about, the graphics on that are amazing. Harper meant that if GTA 5 was to look that good, he would be so happy that they would need to clean up after him.

How would you know what GTA 5 looks like to be able to compare it with this video and come to that conclusion?

Edited by Tom H

The graphics look quite cool,IMHO,but as far as I can tell, either the video is just too old (prolly from earlier stages of development of GTA:V) or...just a fake one.

This was actually somewhat beliveable. But only to someone not as familiar with gta like us guys. It was a good fool. I give the guy props xD

Everything needs more lights.

wow, I can't believe you actually spotted that. Nice one...

I don't see why the genuine game would be laggy, surely R* games would test it on a system that would cope easily. That pretty much proves thats its definitely fake +1.

I take pride in my eyes sometimes!

The only way that this would be legit was if it was an external leak (IE: Out-House QA.), which would be a different style of PC, but even then that doesn't excuse that style of lag. If the PC were to lag entirely the visual would be skittery, as well as the map. In this case, all is smooth (Minus the attempt to make it seem a little jumpy?) when it happens, thus implying that the Visual Overlay was more then likely done post-recording (Editing). Even in a BETA, it would be critical for some Programmers to have the game in a stable condition to where everything works well with each other, no excuse for the Map to be ahead of the game.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Nice catch.

Tom H, Intensified,

This can be a legitimate render/copy of the game 'Eight Days'. Looking further into it, as seen here:

AllegedGTAIV1.jpg

The driver is a Black Male (Bald), and the vehicle style is smooth. If you look here from a screenshot from a 2006 Trailer, you can see that the head shape is similar as well as the tone of the driver/shooter:

EightdaysBackofHead1.jpg

___

Another thing that makes this more of a fake is the overlay, aside from the Minimap being ahead of the vehicle and the camera, if you take a closer look at the debug information there are numerous problems.

First being the spelling, they have it as _Grand theft auto five*. Majority of Programmers know how to spell and as such, do it professionally as even though it may be an internal build, they are still required to submit a build for the 'higher ups' to test, and some companies are picky.

The correct format should be:

_Grand Theft Auto Five*

Aside from that, you can see numerous errors in the Debug Menu, which is normal for testing, how ever most of this appears to be useless to the naked eye. I'll consult with some Programmers and see if all that information is truly useless.

I love your determination to prove it's fake
