Google detects file cache as a malicious site

Featured Replies

When I tried to download LSPDFR 0.2 in the past minutes (6AM), Google had 'detected' that the file cache was a malicious website.
Of course, I knew that it wasn't and went through anyway but then chrome also blocked the file, so I had to go into downloads to recover it.

Is this just for me? Is anybody else experiencing this?

It's not just you.

Wondering why it gives that security warning.

That's a Google issue. If you have any concerns, you don't have to download and use the software. This goes without saying, but there aren't any viruses in the download.

No, I am using the software, it just makes more steps to download the file.

Google has flagged our LCPDFR downloads as malware. We've requested a manual review. Since they have blocked our download domain, some users will experience issue downloading files.

I'll try and move the download domain later to work around the block.

Mkay, Why didnt Google go mad before LSPDFR 0.2? It only started happened this morning

Looks like google has gone crazy again for the new location.

So what do we do to download your files now? They keep getting blocked and are basically inaccessible.

You could try using the Greatest Browser ever, Internet Explorer, see if that blocks the files. As I think it's pretty much up to Google to fix at this point.

🕵️‍♂️ Always watching, always waiting.

Or, alternatively you could go into Google's settings and disable "Phishing and Malware protection" You do this by going to the top of your Google web browser go to >Settings then navigate to the bottom of the page, at the bottom there will be a blue clickable link called "show advanced settings" clicking it will open the page further with more options and navigate further down the page to where it says "privacy" in that section you will have a check box with the aforementioned option to opt out of. Disable the protection, close the page and download what you need to, enable it after you choose to and or leave it as is.

I'm assuming there is a similar method to get around this for Firefox as well.
