The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Stuck on loading screen..

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Whenever I try to start LSPDFR 0.2 via RageHook, After clicking on Story Mode, It just sticks on infinite loading screen.

If I load GTA V normally, It goes into game.

Things I've tried: Deleting all traces of previous LSPDFR files and verifying game cache (steam version). Deleting saves (in case of corrupts). All LSPDFR files are unblocked. Downloaded RageHook via official site and replacing.

One things of note: When launching RageHook, I don't seem to get the popup box which requires you to click yes.

Any input or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

I can confirm that this is an issue with the "mods" folder, you need to copy all of the new files in your "Grand Theft Auto V/update" and "Grand Theft Auto V/update/x64/dlcpacks" folder which were mod

There are a few people who are playing vanilla and not having any issues. I was having so weird stuff going on my self so I am reinstalling Gta V and then just trying LSPDFR alone to see if my shit resolves

Unfortunately my internet connection is to slow to try that.

Exactly what i am doing!

Same issue. It ran perfectly fine until the game crashed, tried restarting and after that - infinite loading screen.
I even reinstalled the game.
No luck.

I am such a god damn retard.
I resolved it by running the game like normal, and then once I am in the game, I ALT+tabbed and ran ragehook as admin

Then I loaded the plugin and it works.

Did everyone actually try and run the Ragehook plugin as admin as the aforementioned user stated? Also recheck all of the .DLL files within the main directory, as well as the sub directory .DLL files within each of the folders to make sure each .DLL is confirmed unblocked. Make sure you also have all of your appropriate exe's (including Social club exe) running as admin too. To run everything required in admin > right click exe > select properties > Compatibility tab > check the tick-box on the bottom > apply settings.

Keep in mind that if you're using the "mods" folder option that OpenIV specifically uses to detect files that are modified within the confines of that folder that each of those modded files will NOT work after the 'Ill Gotten Gains II" title update, in other words it would be beneficial to completely delete the mods folder and redo everything, as annoying as that is. Start with a clean, fresh, vanilla GTA V directory, add LSPDFR and the corresponding files that it needs - boot up the game and try it, with the prior stated steps of course.

Loading the Ragehook Plugin through the alternative means of launching it via in-game may not always work either, when you launch the Ragehook plugin it inherently launches the game a second time, this causes possible crash to desktop and other unwanted side effects.

Tries running it as admin beforehand - only way to get it booted up is by running the game normally, and once you're in story mode, run ragehook seperately.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

deleting everything in the mod folder worked for me. Now I'm gonna add the mods back in and see how that goes.

Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.

This worked for me, Thanks! Didn't think of that last night.

Managed to run LSPDFR and all well, for about 30 secs until I tried a traffic stop and game crashed, although that's for another thread!

i have the problem but mine is bigger i have ps4 ui ! when its infinite loading screen ! what can i do anyone els got that im getting crazy

I can confirm that this is an issue with the "mods" folder, you need to copy all of the new files in your "Grand Theft Auto V/update" and "Grand Theft Auto V/update/x64/dlcpacks" folder which were modified in the patch and copy them into the update folder in your mods folder(Grand Theft Auto V/mods/update and Grand Theft Auto V/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks)folder. Rockstar wont patch your mods folder :D you have too.

These are the files/folders you need to copy and paste:

update.rpf

"mplux2" folder

"patchday5ng" folder

The game should load past the storymode load screen fine now with RAGEhook and LSPDFR, at least it did for me.

Maybe a community mod can help spread the word? Cuz im not sure where else to post this, though I will try posting it in the main support area. :)

I was having the same issue and I have narrowed my problem down to scripthook v. I can play as often as I want without it however once i've added scripthook v I get the infinite loading screen after exiting the first time.
