Very simple. Yes you can observe/record police, but please be smart about it. Don't get hung up on a fixed distance - ie someone here tells you 25 feet and you end up getting in an argument with cops in real life because you heard on the interwebz that 25 feet was allowed. It's likely going to be situation dependent based on the crime, number of suspects/victims/officers, whether or not it's in a roadway, etc. 

Also, please don't be the street lawyer. Record if you want, but don't start interjecting yourself into what the police are doing. You don't know federal, state, local laws (and guaranteed you dont know department policies) as well as the officers. The time for arguing with police is in the court room, not the street. 

It would make absolutely no sense at all to release before the major content updates by Rockstar.
Not only do you put strain on us for getting a release done by that date, but you then can guarantee the majority will forget to backup the old files and suddenly the mod and their game is broken by the update. We then get a shitstorm of people saying LSPDFR broke their game and everyone on the Community Team here then has to spam the words "did your game auto update, it's not our fault it's broken now" over and over again like a broken record.
It does make perfect sense to release the mod AFTER we have gotten modding working on the latest GTA patch as this means you've got the full length of that patch to enjoy the mod. Whereas releasing before means we then have to make a minor update to fix the mod when it breaks (basically meaning 2 releases per patch update rather than 1) which takes time and effort.
 
And as for having a notice on the forum, realistically none of you will read that. Just like the realms of you who ignored the "RagePluginHook currently does not support the latest GTA V patch" notice, or any of the other notices we put up.
Come to think of it....the only things you guys ever notice is imaginary countdowns and logo changes. :P

I'm sure that this will come at some point in the future, the ability to be a maverick pilot instead of just a hydra pilot. I was just thinking about how this could be achieved.
Instead of making it so you just pilot the helicopter, would it maybe be possible to allow the player to switch into the "gunners" seat and operate the camera on the fly whilst the ai took over flying? As well as being pretty cool and allowing the plate of the cars to be called in the ability to switch to heat camera could be added too maybe.
In the distant future how about things like on the fly drug deals being added that the helicopter could spot and call officers to investigate?
Any other suggestions involving the chopper guys?
