In a future release of LSPDFR does anybody think there may be the possibility to have a riot or crowd control call-out? I can just imagine it now - Loads of Ped fighting with each other, spilling out onto the streets and loads of officers trying to control the situation. Does anybody reckon this is something the game could handle and anyone could code?

That or a prison riot/break would be interesting, I'm unsure if access to the inside of the prison is possible but doing riot control at/in a prison would be enjoyable as well.

I like the idea of a prisoner escape and you have to track them down. I think there is no need to get in the prison. Also the crowd control idea :) :). It would take a lot of codding and animation but I think it could be done. Maybe something like they riot outside a shop// Shut down a bridge/highway/roadway. Cool Ideas both.

How do I find gang areas?

Good question :) Just have an eye open towards the pavement - sometimes there are standing some people in small groups around, sometimes at corners. If you approach them they sometimes insult or even attack you...
A good spot is usually round the railways in south-east of LS or round "groove street" ;-)
