Guys, they've got the performance problems down as best they can, and the only problem they're having (that I know of) is a script crash.

Be patient.

  • Just as a quick update, we're doing our best to continue to fix things up.  The main cause of the performance issues was resolved earlier today, although there's still one problem which is resulting i

  • Sam, you and the whole team are just amazing. There's no need to apologize considering how hard you all are working to fix this issue.   Great work.

We're not a AAA company.

Rest assured, when we have something to share we will share it.

Hey, Even triple A company's don't give updates on game bugs and patches...

You're doing an awsome job! keep at it! :)

Just launched GTA V for the first time since the latest update, this is really a joke. At the beginning I get 10 fps so I need to go into graphics settings change Vsync to 50fps and then to 60fps to resolve this. And when I start shooting fps drop drastically to an unplayable level. The only mod I have is the trainer. instead of restricting mods R* should include a feature so when you launch online it checks your game files and if there are extra files/mods the game simply does not let you enter online unless you delete them.

Yep, I said same thing.  I mean yes there will be the occasional hacker that will try and spoof the exe etc.  but call me naive when I say this, I really feel that 95% of the modding community is ... well... just that.  They mod for Single Player use to have fun with this game.  To be honest I think I have played about 15 minutes of online play and I would get gunned down in seconds until I figured the non flag thing out and then I was left with a city that I could jobs for and... well.... it got boring to me.  I want to see modded cars and most of all I wanna role play as a cop.  It gives me more of an adrenalin rush.

Does anyone know how to keep Steam from Autoupdating my GTA V?  It gives me 3 choices, none of those sound appealing.  What happened to the button where it says Never update this game.  I know for a fact Steam use to have that feature.  I want this, I do not want to update GTA V ever again after this crap.

ANSWER:

I don't think you can. I've seen many who can't, and I can't myself. :)

I'm so daaamn nutty!

Ok thank you:

I wonder if I can run it from a different folder so it doesn't call on steam?  Kinda be around it

Don't ask me that :P I know very little about computer stuff. :P

To get the game not to update NEVER launch it from steam, only ever launch it from the Ragehook exe in the gta v install directory

Well that was the problem.  I launched with the latest Ragehook, and it has to connect to steam to launch the game because that is where it is in the directory, once it connects to steam it does an auto update.  Very annoying

Impossible to stop it from updating unless you disconnect your computer from the internet, although GTA V has to verify that it is a legitimate copy every few days. So it is very hard to keep it from updating.

Did someone say countdown?
