Freeze Traffic Script (Traffic Control)

Featured Replies

Hello all, I was thinking today while playing LSPDFR that it would be really nice to be able to freeze the traffic in a certain radius so when I am doing crime scene clean-up, the AI doesn't get impatient/spooked and start running into everything. I've noticed that there can be a really good crime scene going on, with multiple officers and medics responding and looking around the area, and a person will just get tired of waiting and ram right into a police vehicle or even run over a cop. The cops then get angry and a start shooting the person that ran into the officer and killing them, and then the perfect scene you had is ruined by more dead people and crashed cars. I remember there was a pretty easy to use traffic control script for LCPDFR that let you freeze traffic in an area and then let them go again when the road was clear. I'd also like the ability to place down road barriers (that work) to seal off a crime scene. I really think GTA V has great potential in the type of things that can happen, and clean-up and investigation could be really impressive. I love how the police will walk up to a body and stand there with the paramedics like they are talking about what happened and keeping the scene clear, but impatient NPC's can ruin the whole experience.

I hope someone that knows how to actually make scripts/mods will take my idea into consideration. I am sure that somewhere someone has already planned this, or it was thought of, but I just want to make sure that this suggestion is out there.

There's a policeradio plugin that lets you put barriers. Here's the link: http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/7866-coroner-tackle-suspect-tow-plate-checker-pit-request-barrier-police-radio-early-version/?page=2&tab=comments#comment-57665 this also has a bunch of other cool stuff, like a plate checker, coroner, and everything you need for crime scene cleanup.

but idk

Actually as far as freezing traffic goes, Rockstar fixed that in GTA V. In GTA IV the cars would get impatient and overtake/ram you when you were in a traffic stop and even run you over pretty often. When I'm stopped with police lights, traffic in my lane doesn't overtake at all. So there isn't really a need to fix that. Just be careful not to spook them, or just install this mod: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/bystanders-ignore-melee-fistfights. That will stop them from getting spooked from gunfights/fistfights in their vicinity (it even makes it more realistic, as though alot of pedestrians will start to rubberneck and film the incident on their phones, as long as they feel that they're not in danger). They will only get spooked if you aim at them.

About the crime scene, I have a pretty good tip for you. Download the police radio mod by FinKone and place barriers all around. They're indistructible and traffic generally avoids them (drives around). That secures the scene pretty well and stops the whole mess up to a certain extent.

I hope that helps.

Haven't been on LCPDFR in awhile, and I just noticed that you replied to my suggestion here, I don't know if my post made you make this script, but I have been using it for quite awhile now. Thank you so much :)
