LCPD:FR may need an update regarding the no audio with police scanner

Recommended Posts

I assume you all have heard of the issue regarding the police scanner not having any audio and I am sure you are aware that there is no permanent fix to this issue either. Jg45042 and I have been constantly working on this problem for about 2 weeks and here is what I came up with. I think this problem is that LCPD:FR is having trouble reading and executing the audio files in the "Police Scanner" folder because when I remove the files and ran the game it said "LCPD:FR as encountered an error and ETC" when I called for back up. So I think the root problem is LCPD:FR and I highly doubt this will happen because of LSPD:FR being released, but I think an updated would be required to fix this problem, I know it is asking a lot but many people are facing this problem alone with little to no help. Only myself and jg45042 have been putting everything we have into this problem to fix it. As I said I really doubt an update will happen but I am just asking for anybody to at least take a look and go over the the topic I posted to see if you could perhaps find something that we all could have missed. We need all the help we can get and I really appreciate any help we get (The topic link will be provided below)

Nobody else is complaining about this; so I'd say it's an issue with your setup.

What are your system specifications?

there are actually quite a few posts in the forum and other forums about no sound. i started with just googling lcpdfr no sound and went from there. but none of the threads i've ever seen has had an actual solution to it. but i'd actually love to hear it was a setup issue because we have been trying to fix this for a while now and nothing. people have tried everything from re-installations of game and mod, restoring computer, trying to update sound cards, etc and still nothing :(

ill post some of those links later from the places i've been and maybe you can just check the post and see what has happened and what they tried to resolve it.

(My Computer Specs)

OS- Windows 8.1

Processor- Intel Core i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20GHz (Quad Core Processor)

Ram- 8GB

System Type- 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor

Graphics Card- Intel HD Graphics 4600 (Integrated/Built in)

that is a possibility but it doesn't explain why the problem persists even after installing different setup/version of LCPD:FR unless something to my original LCPD:FR files is still applying itself to new LCPD:FR.
