No Scanner Audio & Taser Not Working- LCPDFR 1.1

Featured Replies

The scanner audio from LCPDFR 1.1 doesn't play when a callout pops up or when i call backup. Some one said to Alt+Tab out of game and go back in again, But that's hit or miss. Also For some reason my taser doesn't work either. I thought that the taset files were included in the latest version of LCPDFR. Maybe it was taken out? Here is what Ive tried to no avail.

  • Un-ticking the read only box on the GTA Folder and other folder in the GTA directory. ( It wont untick, I don't know why. I untick it click apply and go back to it and its ticked again.)
  • Re-installing both GTA IV and LCPDFR 1.1
  • Made sure everything is installed properly ( It is)
  • looked all over lcpdfr.com for answers to this.
  • Tried the "ALT+TAB"  option

Thanks to anyone that can help. Also i have noticed that in my log it said it couldn't find the audio files for the scanner. Ill post the log below in a spoiler. I highlighted what i found in red.

hi guys. i swear this is the fourth time i've heard the same problem this week. i have scoured every site i know of and googled the hell out of it. i have seen NO correct answer to this problem with no radio chat. i don't know whats goin on. some of the people i've helped have done everything from re install to system restore. nothing has brought back the police scanner.

also the Read Only feature is kinda weird. it resets everytime you go back to it. so when you actually uncheck it and press Apply it does the job. however, if you decide to "check again"  to make sure it did what you wanted it is designed to "reset" to its original position so it seems like its not doing what you wanted when it actually did :P

For Poster: The three red lines have nothing to do with your error because the game goes to districts, for example:

[WARNING - 12:15:23 AM] [AudioDatabase] GetAudioFileForAction: No file found for: MOHAWK_AVE

This will just turn into Hove Beach.

Again, we have no solution for the scanner issue...

No taser here either.

ummmmmm. Help?

I have found a possible solution to the taser issue, if you are using the Simple Native Trainer:

I remapped the Spawn Annihilator in the SNT to Alt+V instead of Alt+T and taser works.

However, I used to disable the trainer to try to activate taser, and that did not work.

So, people that use SNT, need to remap the one key, then taser will work, as it seems, even disabled, it overrides the key binding.

Yup. My file inside LCPDFR was read only. One click and it is fixed now. Thank you for taking the time Unit22!

I did tried that but every time I remove Read Only and go back and check the properties Read Only is back on, I'm running Steam though I don't know if that has something to do with it.

I think you have to do it for the entire drive.

Well I tried the manual fix for the taser and it's spawns, when I press T the gun pops out I keep pressing T and nothing happens only the gun comes out, then just to try I change the binding to Q and the same thing came out I can see the taser on the holster and it seems that it grabs it but when I press on the key but the gun comes instead.

I think that I'm just gonna let this go.... <sighs>

After trying, even though Windows shows it back on, have you tested the game, to see if it worked?

There are times, that Windows will show a folder as having Read Only, due to 2 reasons, that I have found:

1. A file that windows sees and can not change, keeps the Read Only showing in the main folder, informing you there's at least 1 file or folder, it could not change.

2. A glitch in Windows. After all, it's Windows. :P
