LSPDFR Real Names 1.0.3

(0 reviews)

1 Screenshot

RealNames

LSPDFR pulls every civilian name from one pool, so the shopkeeper in Little Seoul and the socialite in Rockford Hills end up with the same kind of name.

So at times you will get a Mexican Gangster named: Bob McRoy
Or a man from India named: Skylar Johnson.

This fixes that.

RealNames matches the name to the ped model instead.
Groups are not just ethnicity. There are rules for firefighters, security, bikers, tourists, and more.

Sample Output, three rolls each:

  • Little Seoul shopkeeper — Dae-hyun Chae, Yongsu Jin, Daehyun Ye

  • Hospital doctor/paramedic — Amit Reddy, Varun Sinha, Imran Shah

  • Ballas/families member — Tyrone Parker, Trevon Mitchell, Marquis Freeman

  • Armenian mob goon — Yervant Harutyunyan, Hovhannes Nalbandian, Yeghishe Movsisian

  • Vagos member — Rodolfo Delgado, Hector Morales, Domingo Ramos

  • Sandy Shores local — Bubba Buck, Floyd Wormly, Merle Hatfield

  • LSPD / BCSO officer — Gregory Whitaker, Kevin Abbott, Preston Osborne

  • Firefighter — Dermot Dolan, Malachy Mulcahy, Walt Griffin

  • Rockford Hills socialite — Sophronia Blackwood, Bianca Northrop, Adelaide Worthington

  • Vinewood tourist — Cedric Pendleton, Malcolm Brandt, Nigel Osbourne

  • Restaurant chef/waiter — Silvio Rizzo, Piero Gallo, Nicola Vitale

  • Lost MC biker — Curtis Ingle, Hank Vickers, Lonnie Devlin

  • Vespucci beachgoer — Daniella Winslow, Faith Kingston, Erin Barnett

  • Club bouncer/guard — Zoran Filipowicz, Igor Jankowski, Vasil Duda

  • Chinese triad — Jin Xie, Haoran Zheng, Yanjun Pan

  • Street worker — Alexis Valdez, Ivy Renteria, Brittany Iglesias

  • Downtown office worker — Reid Cooper, Rick Kendall, David Baker

  • Generic street ped — Otis Hollis, Cliff Jessup, Chester Halstead

5,000+ real names across 30+ groups, covering 300+ ped models. Over 200,000 possible name combinations, so repeats are rare.

All plain text. You can add, remove, edit, or change what group a ped is in, and what first and last names those can combine.

Edit the lists in names\, remap ped types in buckets.ini, press F11 in game to reload without restarting.

Requires RAGE Plugin Hook and LSPDFR. Simply drop the contents of Install into your GTA V folder.

What's New in Version 1.0.3

Released

New options in INI:

[Exclusions]

RenamePolice=true

RenamePersistent=true

And attempted to pull NexusMDT and MDTPro info if they edited a ped. Cannot find a marker on ped that indicates it.

Hopefully the Persistent toggle and my more cautious naming fixes this. Some ambient peds that should get named might not with the changes. But it should be rare.

No racist names. Just more fitting I suppose (or I hope). Now it could be called a bit 'stereotyping' I'd hesitantly agree. As someone from India MIGHT be named 'Charles HornsWorth' in real life.
But I was trying to lean a little into the GTA5 vibe. Rich people have 'pretentious' names like "Beauregard Fitzgerald the 3rd" while a torn dirty shirt wearing hillbilly might be "Jethro Rucker". And a Korean woman named "Hayoon Yu".

Hopefully it doesn't offend anyone. Wasn't my intention :)
Why I made it all editable. Can take out any they dont like, or remove whole groups if they feel it's too much trope.

It shouldn't cause that, that know of: All it does is tell LSPDFR what to name people. Which LSPDFR already does; I just tell it the name vs letting it pick. It's not even creating any intensive new game threads or Rage fibers.

If you have issues with it, and it seems like it's causing it. I can add a toggle on/off hotkey in a subversion update, and you can see if it stops and starts when you toggle it off and on.

if that is possible it would be cool, no rush tho. plugin looks fun to use

I'm using Nexus MDT and have partners set up with personalized rankings and names but this plugin overrides their names too. Would it be possible to have a section in the ini file so we had a choice to select "false" on changing partner names? Other than that, it works perfectly for me.

it seems to have some sort of conflict with MDTPro/its built in alpr system

Oh, it might be. Looking at its page, it has this:
Ped & Vehicle Persistence

People and vehicles you’ve stopped or run are stored in the MDT database. When you stop someone again, there’s a configurable chance they’re recognized as the same person (matched by character model)—their name, citation, and arrest history, times stopped, and wanted/probation/parole status carry over and sync to CDF.

Which means it can grab peds and rename them too. (To make a ped that's the same model as one you stopped before 'be' that same ped). We are probably fighting each other for ped naming.
I can't see any way to see if it named anyone on the ped that I can notice. Let me see if it flags them in any way so I can tell. Or if its just force-changed in CDF without being able to tell my plugin to ignore them.

Sure can add model types. So you could add all cops, for example, so no officer models get renamed.
Or maybe a blacklist of names: If a name is in the list, it ignores them specifically.

Both these should be fixed. Some MDT and such mods dont announce if they change a name, so mine doesn't know it was changed. just that a ped exists and that GetPersonaForPedwas called. Hopefully one of thse two ini toggles will work around that, change them to false:
RenamePolice=true RenamePersistent=true

hey Mike Captain Kerr (formerly Corporal Kerr) here I agree big time, and I pray that it works as well and if there is an Ashley Rocket in the file names lose your shit but don't start being sad if your setup is broken. (what I mean is don't break your setup otherwise you can't make any more great content)
