From the looks of it, you have a weak PC. I would also never use a Dell computer for Gaming. Dell makes great computers for companys that are looking for a low price, but when it comes to gaming; stay away. How to fix it: Get a better graphics card, or a new PC. Do you even have a graphics card?

This, As well as your modded cars will cause this due to them being high poly, Remove the cars and turn down your graphic settings for your game to run properly, Also, This is in the wrong section, LCPDFR is not what is causing this issue, it is caused by your computer not being power full enough to handle the game along with high poly car mods, Should be in GTA IV Discussion, Moving...

We bought this Dell for gaming only, when I talked to them they said that we got it for gaming.

Intel Family Chip..

No dedicated memory either by the looks of that report. You'll need to actually purchase a graphic card or buy a new PC.

Never listen a company when they say "it's for gaming" .. They just want to sell the product by any means possible.

thats quite conflicting, actually looking through your DxDiag I see a few things

DxDiag Previously: Crashed in Direct3D (stage 2) & DirectShow (stage 1). Re-running DxDiag with "dontskip" command line parameter or choosing not to bypass information gathering when prompted might result in DxDiag successfully obtaining this information

To me this shows that your graphics chip could not even finish the basic testing that comes with the DxDiag, so thats a faliure.

Some laptops have a graphics chip that can be toggled on and off. Those computers are SUPPOSED to do it automatically, but it may need a manual adjustment. In any case, that graphics card is still weak sauce.

That tells me that it's using a built in HD Graphics chip, which then complicates me further when I look down and see

That says that you have a NVIDIA Chip installed, and googling it, tells me that your a laptop, and personally I would never run a game on a laptop, and two if you do have it, then for some strange reason Windows is not wanting to use it, could be that your drivers are not installed properly. I'd recommend going to http://www.geforce.com/Drivers and letting it do an auto detect so it will install the correct drivers, and hopefully get the card primary.

Hopefully this solves some issues with your machine, but like I said personally I don't think laptops where made for gaming, they are business peoples machines, originally designed for emails and light CPU work, anything more causes heating issues, and most laptops performances are capped due to this to prevent parts from overheating.

Ok, We even looked at every post on dells forum, for gaming computer's, they all showed XPS 17 is highley told to run games.

the easiest way to answer that is to take a look at the games you have have, or want to get and look at their specs and then try and find a computer that is as good as, or better than the recommended spec's. What type of computer to get depends on what you want to do with it. I was lucky enough to be able to drop $3500 on an Alienware computer, and I'm actually happy with the performance I get out of it.

I spent $1,600 on a computer that can't even run a test? Ok, we are getting a Mac, here soon whould that be able to run GTAIV?

With bootcamp installed running a copy of windows 7 it might do, Ask JAM, he has a Mac.

Actually, I'll point him to this thread.

I run GTA like this, except Vista instead of 7. It runs perfectly. You've just gotta have a legitimate copy of Windows to install.

*Forehead smack*

No. That only worsens your situation as it doesn't run Windows. Games usually need DirectX in order to render things on screen which is a Microsoft exclusive so you'll have to partition your hard drive to install Windows on it, which defeats the purpose of having a Mac in the first place. You'll get hardware comparable to the Dell you have now.

And XPS 17 doesn't mean anything other than that the computer is from the XPS series which is supposed to be high end, and it's a 17". You can spec them weak or spec them strong if you custom build it on their website, or you could have just bought one at a store and the guy there told you it would be good for games. It's certainly better than $300 PC, but what you have is not a gaming PC.

Also do us a favor and don't double post. Just edit your posts instead if you have more to say.
