I'm presuming that you are asking us to pretend we are officers:

1) Yes, if necessary.

2) Pull them aside, tell them to put it back or you're going to have a word with the higher ups. If they put it back, thank them and forget about it. If they cause a fuss, report them.

3) Radio for a backup unit and let them handle it. There's no place for biased dealings in that line of work.

4) Go over and tell them to stop, and cite them for public indecency or whatever else it should be. Why would it matter if they are homosexual?

5) Draw your pistol, make them drop the bat. Arrest them and then give medical assistance to the injured party.

4) That is the thing it does not matter if they are homosexual, a Cop isn't there to be judging there neutral Don't pick sides get the job done.

1. Only if necessary.

2. Take them to the side and "force" them to put it back (you know take it from them)

3. Call for backup and let them handle it, I might try and help my mother out (if I had one)

4. Go over there and tell them to stop and give them a hefty fine, sexual orientation doesn't matter to me.

5. If I had a tazer I'd taze them, or I draw my gun and arrest them, if they continue beating them, I will tackle them to the ground and a couple of punches.

I.R.L. Version

1. If said force is required.

2. Intervene him and possibly report to a super.

3. I'd do exactly what I would do to any other person. Being family doesn't make them exempt.

4. Light up the roof and cite them for public indecency. Sexual orientation has no difference.

5. I'd announce my presence to the suspect while drawing my own baton myself, radio in for another unit, and see if he complies.

LCPDFR Version

1. Depends if I don't want to run them over.

2. Go back and rob the store myself.

3. Drag her out and beat her.

4. Burn them alive in the vehicle.

5. Shoot both the suspect and the victim.

1 - If someone is going to shoot at me, I'm going to shoot at them.

2 - I would steal it from them and eat it, and then pay for it.

3 - I would place her under arrest.

4 - I would write them a ticket and recommend they rent a hotel room.

5 - I would tase them.

1. I honestly don't know. I've only shot a gun once.

2. Call him out and tell him to pay for it.

3. I'd have to treat her like any other case. To do otherwise would be wrong.

4. If it really wasn't an issue I'd probably just leave them be. If I had to do something I'd just ask them to stop and leave. No difference whatsoever if they're homosexual.

5. Try to do whatever I could do stop it as quickly as possible. I'd call for help as well.

1. Yes, only if necessary

2. Either pull him aside and have a man to man, or I'll just pay for the bar myself

3. Treat her like I would treat anyone else

4. I would act the same, probably wouldn't cite them. I would give them a warning and made sure they leave the park

5. Stop it immediately. I would tase first, so that the takedown will be easier. And then arrest and etc

During my first ride along, the F.T.O. I was with stressed the important of the oral board interview. I saw why then, and I still see why now. I think it's more important than ever. He liked my answers at the time, a couple of questions were similar to this.

1.) Yes, if it was required to protect my life or the lives of innocents.

2.) Demand he return it at once and report him to the store clerk if he refused. Not everything needs to result in an arrest, but it can be pushed that far if necessary.

3.) Go through the same procedure I would with anyone else. Nobody is above the law.

4.) Approach the vehicle cautiously, knock on the window, announce myself as a police officer and instruct them to get their clothes on and step out of the vehicle. I'd call for a 2nd unit routine response, and question the two separately. Depending on the findings of my investigation, I'd either issue citations or make arrests, possibly trespass the people off the property. The orientation of the couples makes no difference.

5.) Draw my side arm or taser without pointing it, announce myself as a police officer and order him to drop the weapon while calling for another unit 10-18 (urgent). The bat is a deadly weapon so depending on the nature of the attack and what the suspect is wearing (taser probes can't penetrate thick clothing), I may pick one or the other. If he refuses, point my weapon, if he strikes the suspect in a non-vital area, and his clothing is thin, deploy the taser. If his clothing is thick, and/or if he strikes the person in the head, or if he comes within three feet of me with the bat in an attack stance, fire my side arm.

Training in the academy may teach you different practices, but these are the most lawful responses I can think of, and the basic principles are simple: Don't take liberties with people based on religious beliefs, race or sexual orientation, treat others how you would like to be treated, nobody is above the law, prioritize your well being and the well being of innocents above the suspect if force is required.
