As for the probes, I can go to any ethnicity and ask " have you been stopped by the police? Did you feel hastled by it? Was the officers discourdaice in any way shape or form?" If they answer yes to any of my questions I can show that the police are biased towards them. I guarentee if I was to ask 100 people of any ethnicity the majority could be used as a statistic to achieve any outcome I want.

I think John Wayne said it well enough in a 1972 interview that America needs to quit cow towing (Catering) to minorities and start to think of America as a whole, it is only when we see ourselves as Americans that racism can be defeated. Look at Germany, you don't hear of any african-germans or caucasian-germans, why? because the country is unified enough to know that race doesn't matter.

I agree with most of what you said, but I wanted to bring my two cents on this part of your post in particular, because I do believe Germany is not an example. A lot of people in Germany are rather racist with a feeling of superiority over others. And as a reminder, it's in Germany (along with Austria) that the first marches anti-islam started in Europe. Also, in Europe we don't use African-X or Caucasian-X, mostly because we say black, arab, asian (arabs being the main target in Europe due to our proximity with Maghreb and our past history with this area of Africa). Believe me, Germany (or any country in Europe) is not any less racist than others. We are just a bit more respectful when it comes to differences.

Ehm... Nope. That's not the reason why countries around the world are criticizing the US. There are plenty of more important reasons to do that, racism or police are clearly not the main issue other countries have with the US.

 

It's ridiculous! The officer in question was found innocent. Innocent! Do people not know what that word means? It means he did nothing wrong!

I believe people think the justice system is biased (which might be true, or not be true, no one will never know), but considering there has been quite a lot of miscarriage of justice in the past, and considering the saying "To err is human", people are free to believe that justice made a mistake there. Not saying that's the case, but it's not that illogical.

 

Unfortunately, most minority groups don't see it that way. I'll use the Hispanics as an example. They REFUSE to assimilate. They REFUSE to learn fluent English. They WILL NEVER BE Americans because they don't want to be. They WANT to be Mexicans, Cubans, Panamanians, etc. 

+1 on that. This, is one of the main reasons why racism and communautarism exists, no matter the country, area or ethnicy involved. I remember in France, 50 years ago, immigrants were craving to act like a french family, to feel french, speak french properly, they wanted to be an examplar citizen of the country. Today they stick to their way of life, barely bother speaking french nor speak french between themselves, don't respect the values, laws and rules of the country and are almost forcing their own into other people's throats. Mentality has changed. And I believe it is a a similar case in the US. By acting that way, they force people to live in small communities and groups instead of living all together: communautarism, which leads to hatred and racism between the different communities.

Which brings up the question.... Why are so many Black people arrested? Is it because every Police Officer in the United States is racist? No. Is it because Blacks are being conditioned by the media to blame every problem in the world on White people? Yes. This is the main issue that most don't want to face. Black people today are the most racist people on the face of the Earth. Everything in the world for them revolves around race and how it's always White people's fault. This, undoubtedly creates major crime waves throughout the community because it removes all responsibility from the Black community. Most of them feel as though they're owed something (want everything free) and claim they're somehow oppressed (yet they have more benefits/opportunities than any other race of people).

This is the root of the problem. It's Black people creating racism that didn't exist in every single scenario. Stubbed your toe on the table? Racist Cracker built a racist table. It's Pinky's fault that I got a cold.

Though I'm not just blaming our Black friends... It's White jackasses that buy into it and feed the "oppression" lies that fuel the flame. If we want racism to end, we need to stop giving special privileges to a select group of people. We also need to stop claiming that everything is racist, unless absolutely proven 100% true. Do this, and racism will cease to exist for the most part.

When Whites thrived, Blacks suffered. When Whites became wealthy, Blacks remained the same. When Whites were hit by the Great Depression, Black opportunity was virtually murdered. That's all changed today, but history does play a large role in the Black community that we have today.

All the minority groups like to have the pseudo-race war EXCEPT the Asian demographic. They've assimilated. Some African Americans have trouble letting go of the past and feel that they're still owed for pre-~1865. What number of Asian women were raped, and had their children sold off to be raised as a future slave? What number of Asians were charged by racist cops with nightsticks? How many times was the National Guard called in to help Asian children walk peacefully to school without being lynched? How many times were Asians sprayed by the fire department for peacefully protesting on the side of the road for EQUAL RIGHTS? Not many I'd assume right? No, it wasn't only Blacks that faced harsh racism and discrimination in America, but the country was more than 90% White and 9% Black. Blacks got the shit end of the deal, and to say that they didn't is not only ignorance of history, but sheer stupidity. The question isn't WHY Some Blacks still hold a grudge against Whites, that's completely obvious. The question is HOW can the Black community overcome history? I can't trace my family any farther past my Great x2 grandmother. I can't even trace where I'm actually From. Again I must agree with you aswell. Though I'd like to point out I never said racism never existed. I said it's almost completely gone in the White communities today. Here's the deal, I grew up initially in a majority Black ghetto, and spent most of my life there. So I've had the opportunity to live with both cultures and understand them. When someone in the White community says something that may be considered racist, the others tend to look at them with a look of "Come on, that's not okay". But when someone in the Black community says the same, it typically ends up growing with everyone agreeing. I completely understand that not all Black folks are like this, hence why I mentioned this.

 

I remember as a young teen when I befriended a kid from my school (who was Black). I brought him to my house and we had dinner that night with my family. Not 1 odd look nor remark. It was never a problem. But when he tried to bring me to his house, I walked inside and I kid you not... His little sister (about 6 or 7) quickly asked "Who's the Cracker"? Which to me meant that their family was raised to be racists, it's a miracle he didn't turn out that way. His mother came out of her bedroom and screamed at me "Nah, get the fuck out white boy!". I'll never forget that time because it was my first racist encounter.

 

Though later on in my High School years I was able to make Black friends who's families didn't kick me out for my skin color. Yet everywhere I went, I was always singled out by the majority (Black Community). I once had a Math Teacher who was speaking to a student about their financial troubles and how it was the fault of "Pink People". She then looked into my eyes and said "Some don't know what it's like to be poor". Which infuriated me because I was actually one of the poorest kids in the school, living in a garage, then in a car. I had to beg for food as a child/teen. But that didn't matter, I was White so I was somehow rich. It was somehow my fault that people struggled (less than I did). I told my Counselor about this, and was told "It's because your ancestors were bad, that's just the way it is". Meaning, he didn't give a damn, and agreed that I should be punished for some assholes I never met who mistreated their fellow human beings.

 

My point is, I know a thing or two about racism. Racism could be a thing of the past if we all just stop separating. It makes me cringe when I have to say "White Community/Black Community". I can't wait until the day when I can say "Humanity" and people will actually understand what I'm talking about. Best wishes to you bud :)

This is the problem here. The Black community is having serious issues as far as efficient parenting is concerned. I can explain why the Black community is having such an issue, but that's a completely different discussion. In addition, it's also a lot to explain and includes a concept.

Racism exists everywhere in every community. It's not just White people. As far as the Black community is concerned, it's as a result of bad parenting. What a lot of people don't know is that most Blacks above the ages of 50 are absolutely ashamed of what the Black community has become. I am a Christian, so we have these discussions in church sometimes. Based on my experiences in church, the older Black community is not happy at all.

Now the cause for these issues in the Black community is music. Even more specifically, rap. I can't think of a single Black leader alive in the United States today, other than Barack Obama. Then again, even Obama can't be considered a Black leader because he's a political leader, not a racial leader. There are no Black leaders that are preaching equality, diversity, progression. The only "Black leaders" we have are Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Two Chainz. These rappers rap about drugs, sex, money, White people and racism, killing other Blacks. I think you can understand where I'm going with this...

I don't see honesty as ignorance, I live literally 5 minutes from the largest black community in Canada & I HAVE to deal with them on a regular basis, 99% of the time when they call for a tow they try & under cut us, expect us to haul their junk for almost nothing, a car they call in a flat tire? is literally upside down in a ditch WITH a flat tire.. 90% of them are on welfare, which I pay for.. every coloured person I've dealt with has an attitude towards white people, whether I've done anything to them or not, when I used to ride transit I remember over hearing a group of black ladies cussing out white people, calling us names & our "privileges" yet, if I were to had said something to them, I would have been a racist & probably would have had a riot outside my house..

So David approaches me, does the work and says "Hey, now you do know". In personal life he was a rather smart fellow. He never took loans or credits or phones with credit, because he didn't trust them. He wanted to be a Marine but his mother didn't allow that so he studied computer science to become an engineer. 

 

And there also was a guy, a student like me, from China. I thought chinese are good at work but this guy was awful, he constantly fought with David and me (we had to work together), and generally was a piece of shit. I even though about calling some police on him but resorted to a simple violence instead lol. 

 

Tl:dr the point: race generally doesnt make people good or bad, community does though. It takes guts to become a different person than anyone around. If everyone in your town drink, cheat, fight, and try to deceive a tow truck driver, it's hard to grow up a different guy. In Russia there are many places with only Russian population but all that Slimory described happens there too.

PERFECT! People are saying these black people are setting it up for themselves with their behaviour, a disgrace, etc. It has NOTHING to do with skin color! It's what they grow up in!

If they grow up in a slum surrounded by criminals, they will become criminals. If they grow up in a civilised community, they will become civilised people. Let's face the truth. Too many black Americans are living in urban ghettoes. These are not civilised places. I'm not saying it's their fault, I'm not saying it's the whites' fault.

Too many are in urban ghettoes and therefore living a bad life. But whose fault it is does not matter! We cannot get the, out of the ghettoes until we all realize and accept that it doesn't matter! We need to work together, and we can't say 'I'm not going to work with xyz group because in the past they put me in xyz position'.

My brief two cents. As President Obama stated when he was down in South Carolina, there is two different situations. The one of the Michael Brown case and the Ferguson Police Department & City of Ferguson issues. 

 

In regards to the Michael Brown shooting, what Officer Wilson did was completely justified. He felt his life was threatened, so he shot the guy. I would do the same thing if you tried to beat me into a bad condition and try to grab my gun. Now sure, there may have been a few more shots than needed but Brown kept on coming after 4 shots so he "finished him off". 

 

For those who didn't hear, the United States Department of Justice found the Ferguson PD and the City of Ferguson as biased against certain races and found that they were more focused on the money aspect than protecting the citizens. Now that doesn't mean every single officer in the FPD was guilty of that, but is instead a general statement. 

 

I'm frankly just tired of hearing about this whole "shooting of unarmed teen Michael Brown". Did we forget that he did indeed commit a crime before the incident?

You're putting words in my mouth. I didn't say that racism was different in Canada, I'm saying that history is different. Reading comprehension is an important skill to have.

I say declare martial law let the national guard come in and bust heads. See how fast people would beg for "racist" cops to return.

Maybe we should crash the economy worse than the 2007 recession so people beg for the 2007 recession. Or why don't we ban all guns so gun owners beg for the old laws back?

There's nothing that can be suggested. There's always going to be violent and mentally unstable individuals that try to latch themselves onto a cause. Look at the people that murder abortion doctors. Surely the overwhelming majority of pro-life people don't support violence, and the same goes for the Ferguson protesters. You can't allow the horrible actions of a few to dilute the grievances of the mass amount of people who are exercising their First Amendment right to protest.
