Crashes When Trying To Start Duty

Featured Replies

Make sure you use the AdvancedHook.dll from LCPDFR and not ELS. The one with ELS is outdated. As for the game crashing to the desktop, I have no idea.

Seems like the lcpdfr is working now

But the crashes arent stopping

It happens mostly on patrol so I believe LCPDFR causes it

I removed els since Thursday allowing me to do duyies but when i asnswer a callout to a drug deal etc my game crashes towards arriving the scene or rarely when patrolling

I tried removing style thinking the hud or schar switchs caused issues, the problem continued

Right now i have a

cruise control

Lcpdfr

Vhd mods (mett, tow truck and phone)

And car mods

Should i uninstall every mod and verify my cache from steam or what?

The crash destroys lcpdfr's entertainement

Please advice. I have to bump it up cause no one seemed to view this (views havent changed in 17 hours)

Update:

I verified the game, reinstalled LCPDFR and vHD mods ONLY and 3-4 vehicles ONLY. Still crashes

Help?

i had the same issue.
If your running steam, be sure the directory out of " steamapps " (" grandtheftautoIV ") is not read only.
I made the mistake of changing just the directory - steamapps -> grandtheftautoIV -> GTAIV*
And be sure to run the ANSI out of LCPDFR.
this resolved my issues.

I dont understand what i should do: http://prntscr.com/6h0tw8

I had xliveless and asiloader (dsound) installed together (found that out via diagnostics tool while configuring the game but havent tested out the game since i removed the dsound

Should i use xliveless or asiloader?

I am currently using asiloader because i hate xlive and it says my profile is corrupted or something.

Which one should i use and might that be my issue? The reason of my crashes during pursuits etc?

A little confused...

xlive is an asiloder.  Generally, the two choices are xlive.dll and dsound.dll.  In short, xlive.dll disables multiplayer capability and allows you to load external savegames, while dsound.dll does not.
