The student should be immediately expelled and charged, and other students should receive a strong and severe warning -if I was the law I'd charge them as well for not intervening when someone is in danger.

Sad to see that this is the new generation coming right towards us. The world is going to be a sad -and dangerous- place.

Because apparently when someone else points out you're breaking the rules, the other person is at fault.

Some people in my class tend to protest when a teacher takes their phone, but they generally shut up after a few minutes and ask if they can have it back at the end of the period. They don't start beating up the teacher.

I originally saw this on the forum I thought it meant the teacher got in trouble or bad water for doing so, and it ends up he did, but with the student not the administration.

Most schools in the US have "no-tolerance" policies, so had any of those kids tried to help, they would probably get suspended or face some kind of disciplinary action. Kids get in trouble for defending themselves in fights. Couldn't be a much more broken system.

Love how everyone say "Oh the generation is ruined" "There is no hope for humanity" and stupid shit like that, when they themselves are even worse.

I guess you are talking about me. Please tell me how I am "worse" when you actually know nothing about me, I'm keen to hear your arguments.

When I was in school a teacher's word was the law. We respected them at least in a classroom. There were  disputes and petty grievances but putting a hand on a teacher? Shieeeet. It's like hurting your parents. I may not be the best person in the world but at least we know how to respect others.

No? My post has nothing to do with the students..

If anything, he's defending the school.

Many schools have policy for teachers/students to not interfere with fights, even if it may be a moral obligation to intervene to save somebody, according to schools and policies, it may not be a legal one.

With lawsuits and everything, they saw to leave it to Police.

Honestly, I'd interfere with a fight law or not if it meant saving somebody from harm, because the policy and law isn't going to tell me what's right and what's not.
