ELS patterns/maps

Recommended Posts

So i wanted to change the default_config.ini to my prefered ELS patterns ingame instead of sitting here and tabing through each stage and setting it.  I have read the ELS users guide but still dont understand how to set the pattern.  i want it to where when i pull the pannel on ELS vehicles that the numbers are already to my prefence. the pattern i want the control panel ion game to display is PRML = E- 21, WRNL = E-06, and SECL = E-09.  ANy help is appreciated

So what you need to do is navigate to your main GTA folder, then click the ELS folder. Then click on defaul_config. (or whatever yours is named) Scroll down until you see your settings and change it to look like this: http://www.lcpdfr.com/uploads/monthly_01_2015/post-135433-0-29533100-1421734035.pnghttp://www.lcpdfr.com/uploads/monthly_01_2015/post-135433-0-40828500-1421734038.pnghttp://www.lcpdfr.com/uploads/monthly_01_2015/post-135433-0-39560700-1421734041.png Make sure for your warning lights it says ForcePatForLstg = on, For your primaries it needs to be, ForceDfltPat = on, and for secondary, the same as warning.

If you use any of my skins in a YouTube video, please let me know. I would love to see it. output_hzFinh_zps2w8whjkq.gif

What version of ELS do you use? Because my .ini files are not like this and I use ELS v8, which is the most advanced. Look: http://gyazo.com/db935133107dda8ee51de73ad011b750

I use V8 i just have a back ground in coding so my notepad looks slightly different then normal.  also its the newest version of windows which could make it look different

So just change PatId_Lstg2 = 21 and PatId_Lstg3 = 21

So instead of DfltPatId i need to make a PatId_Lstg2 = 21 and a PatId_Lstg3 = 21 under the ForcePatForLstg?

I think you are correct because my settings do not look like the ones Annatalons posted.

They look familiar though so I think it is a ELS 7 .ini file.   But his ingame picture shows ELS 8 is installed.

So Annatalons,  are you using a back up ELS file or did someone else give you those configs files?

I think it is formatted originally for ELS 7 and that is why it doesn't work like you expect.

I suggest you rename your ELS folder ELStemp and then install fresh from the ELS 8 download.

So you can still open the original default_config,  etc, etc. and look at the Pattern ID #s.  And then change the .ini on the fresh install.

I only say this because there could be other new options besides the one in [ PRML ] that you are missing.

wasnt there a LES diagnostics tool or configuration thing that would do fresh installs without me having to manually unistall and reinstall? just asking cuase id rather the automated one go through it then me manually and miss something and screw up the thing worse then it is

Looking at this documentation here looks like ive mixed 8 and 7 codes togther on PRML

SO if i wanted it to default to my prefered pattern id have to change it to

[ PRML ]
Type = leds
ForcePatForLstg = on
PatId_Lstg2 = 21
PatId_Lstg3 = 21
Lstg2ActiveExtras = 2and3
ExpressModeRandPat = off
ForcePatForSrnTones = off
PatId_Yelp = 0
PatId_Alt1 = 0
PatId_Alt2 = 0

If im not mistaken. and then it should work in game?
