CVPI 2003 question

Featured Replies

Just check this pack by thehurk: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

There's a RCMP CVPI in it. I don't think it is the exact same model as the one in the video, but it has an FS Legend (seems like it is the same model in the video - EVI's), Traffic Advisors and an RCMP skin :)

There should be a whole lot of RCMP CVPI's though in the download section if I remember correctly from when I was last looking for some CVPIs with a FS Legend.

I actually tried that pack a few days ago - the lightbar is "floating"... without any suspension to the car. But all in all it's a good pack.

Though I'm liking this particular one in the video because of the red/blue lights in place of the traffic advisors. I wonder if it's possible to map the ELS so the yellow traffic advisors in the mega pack become red/blue.

This should definitely be possible. If you open the .wtd file of the car and open the emerglightsemissive or however it may be called (contains red and blue ELS light textures) and change the orange traffic advisor to the red and blue light textures with photoshop or gimp, you should be good.

Do you know the car model? If you can download the model it's easy to grab a skin for it, lonestranger has many public rcmp skins under GTAIV http://www.mediafire.com/lonestranger#

Nope. That's actually what I'm trying to do - getting the car model first. Youtube OP said downloaded the skin + ped on here so hopefully also the car. Else I gotta dig into the .wtd and redo that traffic advisor manually.

Here ya go, This should have the red and blue TA

But just so you know, They do not have a red/blue TA. So it is unrealistic. But that should be what you want.

Thanks!

It has yellow TA but that's alright - I like the way it looks on my ENB! At least the lightbar isn't floating like the one in the mega pack...

Yeah I know the real one doesn't have red/blue TA - I see the yellow TA all the time as they drive through our mall parking lots.

I watched the video and i'm pretty sure that model has been removed.  I searched for it,  but no longer available.

Evi's model linked above is a really nice model with great looking lights.  No pushbar though and it is a schaefft model which is a bit smaller ingame than a lot of the really good (DSF) cvpis available now.

Let me know if you try it out.  I haven't used that model with the newer ELS versions.  But the light config looked and worked great in the past.

I just tried it; it's amazing. ELS 8 + ENB SFE = https://db.tt/bIM4g7hz

Just curious - what model is it originally? Also RCMP or a different PD?

I think it was also based off 2011 RCMP Crown Vic,  but with a pushbar which a lot of people were interested in.  (the city i used to live in had pushbars,  but the neighbouring city did not.)

I found another vid with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgKmWgQ8Cas

I also searched LCPDFR top to bottom and the only model available with the pushbar is the one in the mega pack with floating lightbars. All the others had an "access denied" message. Oh well... thanks for all the help guys; really appreciate it ! I'll just use the non-pushbar version for now.

I'll let you guys know if I find anything else.

[EDIT] I found the link: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>sadly, locked.
