I got it working; thought I'd share what I did just in case someone else has the same problem. I used Albo1125's troubleshooter to debug my game setup: Turned out that I had a GUI .dll missing. Installed from the link it provided and RAGE works fine. Hope that helps someone. Cheers, Lash

Hey all, I'm wondering if RAGEPluginHook works on Win 7? My buddies have all got it working on Win10 but on my Win 7 x64 Pro machine, every time I run it (as administrator), nothing happens. Not even a single process in the task manager. It's as if I never launched it in the first place. I saw some people have crashes with it, or that some menu that pops up, or even it launching the game for you. But for me, nothing happens. I also tried launching my game manually, then launching the RAGEPluginHook.exe, but again, not a single process happens, not even a popup box. Regards, Lash

When you first load up your game, press ALT+P to activate LCPDFR. This allows you to go into stations. If you don't want to go to stations and want to instantly go on duty, click the accent button on your keyboard (left of 1) and type in "forceduty" in the console. That will skip the process of going into the station and spawn a police uniform for you.

Does it go black after you have loaded into the game or when you're in the menu screen? If it's black after you have loaded, it's probably an issue with a file in your 'commons' folder. I've had this issue before; I restored a vanilla copy of the folder and that instantly fixed it.

I did some testing and yes I'm wrong. I shouldn't jump to conclusions that it was ELS v8. That was just pure coincidence; my bad. I found the cause this time: a vehicle I am using will at times generate those polygons that screw up the view. I find it really weird because GTA will work fine at one point and then suddenly at the next launch, generate those polygons to obstruct the view. Well, I found a solution that works for this case - reinstall ELS 8. Somehow it has something to do with dsound, scripthook, and the other .asi or .dlls that came with ELS 8. Hope this helps!

Just did that and hopped in game. The flickering are gone but my vehicles are still having that "half transparent" issue. I'm going to make a new skin from scratch and see what happens. Thanks Tech !

The latest NVIDIA driver is giving me a massive headache. When you go in game, the back 2 doors of the vehicle are transparent (basically half the car is transparent) and you get a screen flickering every few seconds. Has anyone experienced this before or know how to fix? My specs are below and I don't think it's an issue on my end: Intel i7 4770K 32GB of DDR3 RAM GTX 780 with 3GB Video Mem Windows 7 Professional x64 with latest updates

I had a VPD Magnum custom made for me when ELS 7 just got released. Now that I'm running ELS 8, I found that the light positions have shifted. The lights are now shining a few feet above the lightbar. Which files should I edit to get the lights back on the lightbar? The default ELS.ini or the default_config?

I think this might be it. Throughout the videos I've watched on YouTube, the lightbar of the same vehicle varies in at least 4 different ways in terms of colour. I guess that's just the sensitivity of the camera and the wavelengths it picks up vs. what our eyes see.

Been mind boggled about this for a while - Why is it so hard to capture true LED colours on camera? I find it so hard to capture the true colours of the lightbar red/blue LEDs. For a while, I've always thought that the colours turn out to look way off because I am walking or because my camera is seperated by a layer of glass if I'm in a passenger seat of a vehicle. However, I just bought LED Christmas lights and I attempted to experiment by holding my iPhone up to the blue light. Sure enough, the picture I take has a teal colour, whereas the actual blue LED has a cruelen-blue colour. Anyone know why that's the case? And it also happens with the professional cameras on Flickr, not just my iPhone, so I think the phone camera being the reason is ruled out (unless I'm wrong!). Regards, Lash

All the others had an "access denied" message. Oh well... thanks for all the help guys; really appreciate it ! I'll just use the non-pushbar version for now. Thanks! It has yellow TA but that's alright - I like the way it looks on my ENB! At least the lightbar isn't floating like the one in the mega pack... Yeah I know the real one doesn't have red/blue TA - I see the yellow TA all the time as they drive through our mall parking lots.

Nope. That's actually what I'm trying to do - getting the car model first. Youtube OP said downloaded the skin + ped on here so hopefully also the car. Else I gotta dig into the .wtd and redo that traffic advisor manually.

I actually tried that pack a few days ago - the lightbar is "floating"... without any suspension to the car. But all in all it's a good pack. Though I'm liking this particular one in the video because of the red/blue lights in place of the traffic advisors. I wonder if it's possible to map the ELS so the yellow traffic advisors in the mega pack become red/blue.
