There's always the possibility that someone would have created it later anyways.

That's true, but it most likely wouldn't of been a major priority. Take radar for example, radar became more and more powerful during World War II as there was need to alert friendly forces of incoming enemy forces. There's a large chance that if those enemy forces weren't there, radar never would be what it is today.

The Japanese never launched an invasion on the United States. The plan was to knock out the American Pacific fleet so they'd be free to conquer Asia and Oceania, they never intended to take over/elimi

  • With all due respect, I don't think that poison gas, machine gun and other tanks are "good stuff". Personal opinion, of course.

  • Anything that has for only purpose to kill other human beings can't really be considered as "good stuff".

Without WWI and WWII, the up and coming WWIII would be renamed WWI.

Nah but WWII and WWI played huge roles in development and shift in world powers. Prior to World War II, America as a nation was rather obsolete in comparison to the post WWII power shift. I could go on for hours about World War II, from Pearl to VE day etc. Sharp and I share an equally profound interest in the war lol. As for World War I though, I know very little about it.

I think the wars brought a lot of new technology. Be aware, this is not good or bad technology, just technology. It's up for you to decide what's good and bad.

-Factories

-Machine Guns

-Fighter Planes

-Radar

-Tanks

-Something similar to the Industrial Revolution

-Atomic Bombs

-Patriotism

-Women were given more Rights

This never even crossed my mind but it's very true, though not many woman actually fought (at-least for the Commonwealth and America, I know the USSR had several women only platoons) women played a huge roll back home and at nursing stations which raised their equality to that of a mans.

To say that women were of equal standing to men in society during or following either of these wars is just plain wrong.

Granted it wasn't until the '60's and '70's when fair equality really became a thing, World War II played a significant role in establishing those rights.
