ELS 8 Config?

Featured Replies

I downloaded a car and no els config was included. It says it uses the default config but at night the blue lights are all red. I know the default config has no blue color but my question is how do I know what slot pertains to what led? Any pointers would be great.

Thanks RPILL.

Go in your ELS folder and copy the default_config, paste it in the same folder, it'll make a copy. Rename the copy into whatever you want, let's say blue, then open it, and change the lines:

Extra_1 = red
Extra_2 = red
Extra_3 = blue
Extra_4 = blue
Extra_5 = white
Extra_6 = white
Extra_7 = amber
Extra_8 = amber
Extra_9 = amber

to:

Extra_1 = blue
Extra_2 = blue
Extra_3 = blue
Extra_4 = blue
Extra_5 = white
Extra_6 = white
Extra_7 = amber
Extra_8 = amber
Extra_9 = amber

Then go to your _SLOTCONTROL file, and look for the car you want to have blue reflections. Let's say it's police in your case, go to:

[ POLICE ]
Status = on
File = default_config

And change it to:

[ POLICE ]
Status = on
File = blue

And it should work.

Is there a way to tell what extra_# is for what? By the way this did help thanks.

For that part I have no idea. I guess the best is to change one after the other and look what it does, except if you find someone that exactly knows what does what. From what I've seen so far it also depends of the lighting setup on the model itself.

Yes, the extras are set up on the model. If you open the ELS menu in game and watch the lights flash on the model and in the menu, you can tell which lights are assigned to each extra (note that many lights may be assigned to one extra). The top part of the menu (warning lights) are extra 5 and 6. The middle part (primary lights) are 1, 2, 3, and 4. The bottom part (secondary lights) are 7, 8, and 9.
