  • And the cycle continues. One step forward, two steps back.

  • Ah... this seems like a nice place to post that:

I don't really care for politics all that much. It seems like people just faffing about and not achieving much. I agree with whoever said it before; the government is here to serve the people, not sta

While I don't condone this type of thinking, the general consensus of the US (at least where I used to live at, and where I am now) is Obama has caused problems that need to be fixed.

Well, on a general basis, I believe that every president causes problems for some people that need to be fixed and so on. Bush caused problems that needed to be fixed, Clinton did as well, and so on. I don't remember a single president in the human history that had 100% of positive ratings, not everyone can be happy with what is done.

I do agree with you about that. That's what I was referring to when I said the petty problems that usually divide democrat and republican.

However, Obama has straight up thrown the constitution in the garbage with healthcare, disregarding any and all immigration laws we've had set up (not to mention spend an exuberant amount of money on them), and castrated America. Countries used to respect us (not trying to sound like Uncle Sam). Now Putin has free reign in Europe, he flies nuclear bombers around our country, and takes jabs at the US every chance we get.

In my opinion, I prefer our presidents have military experience (not W. Bush, he shirked his duties) since they know what it means to serve our country and are generally inclined to stand up for it. Presidents like Nixon and Kennedy stood up for our country and didn't let the US get disrespected.  Just my personal opinion, however.

I agree, what a shame we're starting to become. I remember back then, if anyone disrespected the United States you'd have a shit storm to deal with. Now we just bend over and take it from whoever. Still, don't underestimate the military might of the United States. The United States is essentially the most powerful nation in the world, and there are lot's facts that can help prove it.

We're ONE OF THE MORE powerful nations that exist. Since Obama has cut billions of dollars worth of military funding, we're severely reduced. But it goes hand in hand with what I was saying about how countries don't respect us. China, NK, and Russia keep building their armies and increase funding, and we're cutting ours.

In a way, it's eerily similar to the giant fuck-up by the Euro countries right before WWII.
