Hi,

As of lately I have been unable to play GTAIV no-mod multiplayer after moving some LCPDFR files.

Before RC2, I could just move ELS.asi, dsound.dll & ScriptHookDotNet.asi out of the GTA folder and I was able to play GTA IV multiplayer (no-mod). Now, GTAIV keeps telling me I can't join servers because I have mods running.

Does GTAIV multiplayer work for you if you do the above steps? Or have there been new files added that I must remove?

There is a command you can run similar to "ReloadScripts" which will close all running mods and allow you to play online. Open up the console and type help. It should show a list of all commands.

I've tried that, and it does not work - I need to remove the files from my GTAIV directory. I've noticed two files, amb_nailgun.wdr and amb_nailgun.wtd in the GTAIV directory, should I remove these too? Could Sam or someone please clarify whether these were installed with the new Taser?

It could be the new taser, if you chose to install it. LCPDFR's installer made backups of all modified files before changing them.

In your GTA folder, go to the folder common, then data.

Delete WeaponInfo.xml and rename WeaponInfo.xml.bak to WeaponInfo.xml.

Those files are backup files of the stock amb_nailgun.wdr and .wtd that the installer replaced inside Weapons.img.

Oh my goodness. Thank you! That fixed the problem. So I guess I'll just install LCPDFR without the taser. So now to make GTAIV playable online, I gotta rename that file and remove dsound.dll and ScriptHookDotNet.asi
