Most crashes on pullover and/or chase.

Featured Replies

I have a legitimate copy of Gta Iv + a valid patch without ANY mods. I uninstalled all the mods I had and the problem still occurs when I'm issuing a pullover or responding to "suspects fleeing". When it comes to pullover, it doesn't happen every time but when it comes to "suspects fleeing" every time I get some error. It's either Main.Start or Pull.Over or something third. I tried using your Diagnostic but weird problem was there. Few mins ago I says I have everything all right and few mins later it says I don't have an ASI loader and dsound and everything is in right directory.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Post a screenshot of your GTA IV directory.

remove xlive.dll or dsound.dll

you have two asi loaders, they interfere with eachother.

I removed dsound.dll and everything seems to be fine now. :)

I have have few questions tho.

1. Will installing traffic flow make some bugs in the script? That's how you correct taxi bug?

2. I'd assume that els and vehs that are compatible won't do any problems as half of "world" uses them? (I have all mods from gtapolicemods but none installed yet)

Weeeelll..... With car mods + ELS and LCPDFR, there's gonna be problems, thats just the way it is. The best thing you can do to minimize problems (aside from not using ELS) would be to not have the police and police2 slots ELS-enabled. This is because when other mods try to control ELS lights, it just wont always work, and will result in a crash. If you plan on using TrafficFlow, also make sure that the firetruck and ambulance are not ELS-enabled either, for the same reason.

Traffic Flow should work fine with LCPDFR. This is very good especially if you have many non-default cars (though only takes in 20 in the list, though sometimes some load outside of that). Only issue is that sometimes the scenery textures disappear/ don't load up for a short time in some cases, and I think that's more of a game limitation than anything else.

As for ELS, I hear as long as you use ELS V5, you should be fine, as that is the one that works the most stable with LCPDFR. Only issue is if you use any cars that do not use ELS (i.e. let's say you kept the default Police Vehicles), you won't be able to really see the "lighting modes" that are used in LCPDFR with the other cars (only standard light/siren). That is one of the things that kept me back from using ELS. Even if those slots are not ELS enabled.

So, so you say, it's the best to have noose cruiser and polpat els enabled and police1,2 normal lights. Okay, I'll try that.

I never mod ambulance or firetruck so ye. :P

Thanks for your help.

@Leonov - Where the hell I find v5? I think everything got updated to v6..

V6 was updated to fix the stability issues a while back, so I think thats what most people use now (watch as 15 people say otherwise...lol). And also, don't forget about the fbi slot, this can be ELS as well.

As to Leonov's issue with the LCPDFR lighting modes, did you go into ELS.ini (in the main GTA IV folder) and change the value for "Active = 1" to "Active = 0" ? If not, then this is why the non-ELS lighting modes wont work.

I modded every law enforcement except those barracks/enforcer and all els compatible. Everything seems to be perfectly fine. I guess that those two asi loaders were making troubles and now when one is gone, everything works like a charm except traffic flow. It isn't spawning new vehicles, maybe 1 or 2 per 156165165 taxies.

Thanks guys. :)
