The pro version is much better, and given it's a 1 time payment I would highly recommend going premium.

The pro version doesn't just do real time protection (which is very helpful) it also does real time website tracking to make sure it isn't a potential virus nest and beautifully it gives you their "chameleon" driver. What that does is if a virus shuts down your anti-virus software or stops it from executing (yes that can be done) the chameleon driver installs itself like a virus, kills all known virus processes and then boots malware bytes via the driver so it can't be blocked. It's not often used, but very very helpful if you do fuck up :)

Also folks, employ a little common sense. If your best friend sends you an email "HEY CHECK OUT THIS WATCH SHOP I GOT A CHEAP WATCH!" With a link...it's probably a virus waiting to happen, don't be a moron and click it.

And don't speed click through installers either. Some auto default to "yes" when they offer to install third party software. This can often result in unwanted programs.

Didn't they change the payment option. I checked recently and I Thought they switched to subscription based service.

Personally I rarely pick up a virus (common sense required) usually I just pick up adware which I just run the scan manually.

  • Gods no. Never Norton.    I use Avast at the moment, coupled with Anti Malwarebytes. That should do the trick.

  • Some antivirus software might do the job...

  • All files uploaded here are scanned for viruses before they are approved so I doubt you're getting anything from this website.

Oh yeah...

Well that sucks for everyone else, I got it on a 1 time payment.

Kaspersky is the best. I haven't got a virus in years. Mal ware can get into your pc from updates to programs, downloads and streaming. Iv never gotten anything from here. Check your programs and your Internet settings for unusual Taskbar search engines and programs

I use AVG.  If I ever get malware, my go-to anti-malware is Malwarebytes.  Although, with safe browsing practices and Adblock Plus, I haven't gotten any spyware/adware/malware in over a year.
