Hi.. I was wondering if there is any way to edit handling.dat or vehicles.ide file to make any car a cop car..

I mean if i some how change the role of admiral.. During game it becomes equppied with siren and i can have an additional cop car other than police2 police...

I think LMS looked at it without any real success (there's no simple way to do it by editing files, it would require scripting). Looks like it's not really possible.

Wow..so isnt there any other alternative way to add an extra cop car..

For example I can edit the weaponinfo.xml file to bring several automatic rifles.. Actually there are only 2..

Similarly some alternative way to add extra cop car or make some..

Do you use ELS or do you only use Non-ELS?

You could import the police cars from EFLC (Police3, Police4 and Policeb). 

@reibu even if i import from eflc i must replace vehicle files with any civil vehicle.. Like changing name police 3 to admiral.wtd..

This will again make the copcar from eflc into car civil.. Of course with cop skin :p

@cheesef1 dude i use ELS.. But i need to add aditional cop car.. Make them alot of patroliing liberty city.. What ELS gotta do with this? :)

Oh, I thought you just wanted to have a cop car you could spawn with SNT. (EX, Replacing "Benson" or something with a cop car, then adding the ELS ini for it).

You can add (not replace) a new vehicle using this tutorial.

But, to get police vehicles to work, you can only use police3 & police4 slots.

 

However, it's different for every person, some people can get police vehicles to work correctly using any name but won't work with police3/4. Other people can have it working only on police3/4. For me, it's the latter (only works correctly on police3/4).

If you use other slots, you can spawn the vehicle in-game, but it will have no siren (instead, it'll have default car horn) & ELS will not recognize it, even if you put the files correctly & edited ELS's slotcontrol.ini (won't work as far as v7, I don't think v8 fixed this).
