Hello All,

Some of you were wondering how too get additional police vehicles to patrol regularly. There is away... please follow these steps on doing so.

1. Please Install the latest Traffic Flow mod.

2. Edit the TrafficFlow.ini file to include the Noose and PolPatriot within 2 of the 20 available slots.

3. Lastly go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\common\data and edit the cargrp.dat file. Delete the Noose and PolPatriot from the # POPCYCLE_GROUP_COPS group and add them to other groups such as # POPCYCLE_GROUP_HARLEM, # POPCYCLE_GROUP_BRONX, # POPCYCLE_GROUP_JERSEY and so on and so on.

Don't worry, the police will only handle/drive these vehicles and react like normal officers. ENJOY!!!

FYI - I'm also working on getting additional police vehicles such as police3, police4, policeb and so on to work. The above method works with them... however no drivers... just ghost drivers. lol I believe the animgrp.dat and precincts.dat files have something too do with it.

Great idea.

Please try to figure out how can we access police computer on police3 and police4.It'd be of much help.

It's hardcoded afaik.

I'm sure you can get police3, police4, and policeb to drive around. But you won't get any officers to spawn in them. They're civilian vehicles to the game, so it will spawn civilians in the vehicles. If they counted as police vehicles, then it would spawn cops in them and you would have no problem with adding them in the cop spawning group.

Why do you want a police state?

The "Jurisdiction Enforcement" mod is just a mirrored reflection of what most US cities and States go about enforcing laws within a given area, region, county, etc...

If you're talking about the topic for letting Noose, PolPat, FBI and so forth, patrol regularly like the Police... then that a personal preferences of what you like. I find it amazing and more life-like when I see the extra patrol units parked here-and-there and sometimes with Police Officers standing near them - policing. The extras don't spawn out of control and seems timed at the right moment and places.

I'm pretty sure ELS doesn't work on added cars that aren't police3, 4, or b. I may be wrong, though.

Correct. I believe the ELS.asi file needs updating on that end for them to work... I could be wrong. One thing is for sure, updating/adding them too the ELS.ini doesn't do nothing. Lol

ELS does work on added cars. Just add their name into the .ini file.

Yeah,it does work.Actually only my Police3 and 4 are ELS.All the others are non-els so the game won't crash.

Why is your gaming crashing from ELS? It shouldn't be doing that, unless a police mod or ELS enabled mod file is corrupt. I have all ELS enabled police enforcement units, including police3, police4 and policeb. Hopefully I can get in contact with the dev of ELS about adding a custom type feature, if possible, on adding more ELS enabled units.

Sorry but that would not be possible.The dev,Luxart (better known as Lt.Caine) retired from the GTA community on July 2011.And we doubt he'll be back one day.

As for ELS crashes,it happens with almost everyone.Engage yourself in an intence police pursuit chase with ELS enabled vehicles installed and the game will run on a higher risk of crashing.Thats because ELS lights are themselves very highpoly and in addition,ELS has to spawn a new car everytime with a different looking ELS pattern so that it can create an illusion of the lights being changed.Multiply this to the number of cars involved in the pursuit at a given time plus the other vehicles and environments that have to be generated,and you'll find that the game engine starts to heat itself up faster than in ideal conditions.Differs from system to system.Most of the peeps here avoid ELS just because they don't have supercomputers like some of us.But still I like to avoid ELS because it increases the time before the game crashes.I've recently installed an ELS enabled Noose FCV and my game now crashes more often after half an hour of the chase.But if I play the game normally,the crash don't occur.More of an evidence,yeah?

Do you even know what polys are or means? I am pretty sure the ELS crashes are due to scripts, not "high poly ELS lights".
