Alright so, i have had certain people tell my computer just simply cannot handle GTAIV which is a load of shit, but i would like some opinion's from modders here so i can clarify, because you guy's are obviously the only ones that know what the hell your talking about....

Here are my spec's:

AMD Phenom II X2 555 Processor 3.20GHZ

4 GB Ram

ATI Radeon 6790

Windows 7 Ultimate

64 Bit Operating system

500GB Hard drive

Your processor is really shitty,I agree. But when it comes to your Radeon 6790 Sapphire,it should get the work done nicely.I don't even know the basics of AMD/ATI as I'm more of an Intel/nVIDIA guy,but I may be wrong...

So,lets see what others have to say. There are many peeps here who know AMD/ATI way better than me.

As I've already told,I know almost nothing about AMD/ATI,so its obvious and predictable that I'd suggest a quadcore processor.I,personally have an i7-2600k and I am more than happy to live with it.My IV can handle almost every mod out there.Thats all I have to say.

Well, I am running a i3 quad core, 4gb of ram, and a 550ti with no problems...of course I do not have all sliders to the right....but its playable. It handles my FSX and FS2004 just fine at about 40 FPS.

My gear all cost me $672.00, but i just bought a new graphic's card upgrade for $182.00, i bought all single components, cuz the place i bought a computer already put together lied too me, when i got it home and installed GTAIV on it and looked at the MB it said only 256MB, so i took it back. anyway, do you know a good price of a qaud core in canadian?

i thought my computer was gonna explode with only 256MB :P LOL

Please keep in mind that I barely read any replies in this thread, only the first post. So, if I repeat something that's been said by someone else, please forgive me.

To put in my own two cents, here's what I think about your posted specs.

Here are my spec's:

AMD Phenom

In reply to penguin,

My first personal build was about four years ago and had a Athlon 64 x2 as well :D, I upgraded to a Phenom II X4 960T last week as well as a MSI GeForce 560TI and it's a massive improvement. I suppose that it's probably because i just doubled my CPU cores and improved my graphics from a Radeon HD 26000 512MB lol.

@ penquin, i would give you a plus 2 if i could ;), so i should get an Intel core Duo 2 E6750?, i can run my game on ALMOST max settings, but i don't want too over do it, man, this game is a bastard on resources, it's actually kind of sad :(

on a side note, the CPU usage in-game is in MB am i correct? does it hold any kind of memory? (sorry i'm learning as i go)

i have 3 fan's with an additional 1 with the graphics card, in a thermaltake casing.
