Any genuine retail copy will be fine to mod no matter if it was downloaded or installed from a disk. My steam download works fine.

The key word here is "genuine" copy. Any genuine copy downloaded will be fine to mod.

I didn't even realise Amazon had an option to buy a digital copy tbh.

Edit: Judgeing from the time stamp on his posts which are the same I would guess his double post was a glith and not intended.
