MY suggestions

hey,

I felt like posting some suggestions so I will:

-Throughout the city, there's various buildings you can enter, like the Burger shots, the lawyer building, Bowling thingies, some random buildings you can sometimes find close to a save house, those flats, etc. It would be cool to have burglars(ofc they just need to be inside, not like it looks like they actually steal something, thats prolly waay too hard. Tho you could frisk for creditcards? ) in the houses or flats, and having armed robberies or a hostage situation in Public locations. Dunno if it's possible to script ppl inside those buildings? Would be rather cool to me anyway.

-Also, some more long distance calls, 99% of the time I get the call, start driving while switching on the siren, and can put it off because I arrived at the scene after 5 seconds already...

-Also, murder? That you get to the scene and find a dead person, and have to look for evidence or maybe the killer, or look for eyewhitnesses(dunno if thats possible tho)?

-Investigate a truck for drugs, especially in the harbor area's, next to one of those boats or so. I guess it's possible, searching the trunk is aswel right?

-Being called out to a fight. Just some random peds hitting each other or even shooting at one another.

And to confirm other ideas(just to show that there's more ppl who like it. tongue.gif ): Being called out to assist other cops, traffic accidents, stuff like that.

Also, I have a little question: When I start LCPDFR, and am done selecting the cop and car, the map usually has to load again. At those moments, walls have no detail at all, same for roads, and lighting things are not there at all. It also looks like I float above the road. After a few seconds, this will be fine and the map looks normally. But sometimes (quite often actually) I get the map doesn't load at all(in game, not when I just started). Bridges, roads, buildings, they all dissapear. All I then see are some random trees, cars driving far, far away(not a single one being close), and some parts of the underground... I have read that some more people have this problem. Could it be because of LCPDFR? I have been reading here for quite a while, and I saw someone posted it was because one of bxbuggs cars... Thing is, I don't have any bxbuggs police car, nor an ambulance or firetruck(maybe a normal car tho, but I don't know if bxbuggs make those?).

Other mods I have installed:

-cars

-ELS

-Realistic driving and handling

-some explosion mod that explosions get 5 times bigger or so(yeah it sucks donkey ass, but forgot to make a backup)

Anyone has an idea what it could be?

well, it is pretty much always with LCPDFR(tho lately, since this happened, I only played LCPDFR when playing gta anyways). Can't recall if it happened without LCPDFR.

I'm not sure if it is only the handling.dat file that's modded tbh.

Nah, as said before. I don't really play GTA without LCPDFR, so I dunno if that is the problem.

Will look into getting the replaced files back. Explosion mod sucks anyway.

But other than the problem, how 'bout the suggestions? tongue.gif

I think the SENIOR members such as myself know what he's talking about....its an issue thats known to most of the modders in the community. Shit stops appearing, and you are essentially FLOATING ON NOTHING

Your suggestions sound good but the distance one I believe won't be implemented.

Hmm ok.

Just thought of another one.

Maybe some kind of timer? Not really a specific one, would be fake, but for example if there's a shooting and you are slow as hell getting there that there already is a casualty. Like setting a timer, but not showing it to the player, but when you are too late things get out of hand.

Another idea for a mission: quick response to someone with a heart attack, need to give them CPR or whatever. (again, too late is person died)

I wouldn't mind seeing the distance one a bit as well, at least a -little- farther, some of the crime calls are far too close, theoretically speaking anyways if cops were really able to respond so quickly so to say, crime would be horribly low in the city, with a cop always just a block or two away :P

Pseudo-related note, it seems like some of the features in EFLC might allow for a more special FR version, at least from what I can tell EFLC natively has random police stops around the city in it (compared to plain GTA IV which the only actual pull-over I ever saw was on the one bridge highway, where as EFLC has a pullover and occasionally even an officer searching a trunk), which might work for some wiggle room into an FR EFLC version that makes things such as an officer requesting assistance for a traffic stop or vehicle searches more easy?

Or am I just seeing things and never noticed these things within the plain GTA IV o.O

They are in normal IV too.

Weird... I've honestly in all my time playing GTA IV, never seen any random pullovers except the one on the westward way on East Borough Bridge, guess I shoulda looked more, lol.
