I managed to import the TBOGT stinger to gta iv a while back. It was a lot of work.

I had to add the .wft and .wtd manually to my GTA IV vehicles.img , I then had to copy the lines of its .ide , handling and carcols into their respective GTA IV files.

The game reconized it and gave it sirens and the functions of a police car but I had to give it the sound of an infernus in the IDE file because I didn't import the engine sound. This caused the game to call it an infernus when entered and civi's drove it.

I then went into polcycle (I think) and added police3 to the section where it determines what cars cops drive.

TL;DR: it's a lot of work that can pay off but it's not worth it in my opinion, it caused a tugboat to spawn in a dock and causes insane lagg

I think it did, it was a while ago so I'm not too sure

I had everything working fine, now tonight when I spawn polcie3/4 I cant go into the police computer. The sirens still work and clear traffic but no police computer... Any ideas?

hmm, ok, Ill mess around with it and see if I can figure anything out. You mean that sometimes your police pc will work and sometime it wont? Because mine wont ever work, it doesnt even say "press E to enter police pc..." in the corner

Edit CarGrp.dat and add police3 and police4 in # POPCYCLE_GROUP_COPS if you've ADDED the cars.

Nickie....it never comes up...which is a shame because I want to use my nice Harley as traffic enforcement...

I don't remember that adding them in traffic. I thought it only spawned the first 2 cars in that list.

Thats a shame. I thought the computers would work, I thought they did work at one time for me ...

@Dhruv - I'm not worried so much about them spawning as I am making the PC work.

Don't bother.Even Traffic Load doesn't seem to spawn them into traffic.I added +rare in .ide XDD

I actually made a mod to make them spawn in traffic, but it was kinda buggy and I've essentially abandoned it.
