I have a question about uploading modifications.

Is it possible to link the download to my own website where it is already uploaded or does that not pass the community guidelines?

I dont know if what i'm about to say is against the guidelines of Profiles, Signatures, or Form Post privileges, but you can put your website on your profile. You can also put your website in your signature (make it look pretty ), or even Post it in the Media section of the LCPD First Response thread (Here is the link: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forum/11-media/ ). Correct me if I am wrong before I am pelted by "You are really dumb" or "You are a simpleton" please.
