Not sure of you guy's opinion of this, but the Ferguson Police tear gassed & bean bagged news crews after dispersing rioters a quarter mile away and dismantled their equipment after they fled from the gas. Personally although it isn't the "right" thing to do (since the media has the right to be there & are simply making a living), I kind of agree with the police action. The media has been fueling the fire of this tragic shooting and doing whatever possible to get a "good story" out of it. I'm kind of happy to see the media thrown out just like everyone else, I personally think the media is contributing to alot of the problems seen in Ferguson.

Yeah, that's not true. At all. The media may not be talking about it any more, but there were still incidents of looting and ongoing crime, as indicated by a St. Louis County police dispatcher I'm friends with. I doubt he would tell me how swamped they were fielding calls for service mixed with various death threats and Nazi accusation phone calls if it weren't true. First hand factual information from a credible source directly involved in any incident is immediately far more reliable than anything the media ever tells me.

As far as your politics picture, that's definitely true for a lot of people on both sides of the opinion line. Frankly, I'm tired of the anti-police crowd telling me that I'm a sheep and I'll believe anything the government says. Not only is that not true, but these same people are the ones using half researched media reports full of bias and blatantly false information as their sources, rather than confirmed facts and a level head. These are the same people who scream about their rights, without having the knowledge or comprehension to know that they are imagining rights that never existed. Well, the media says this, we have the right to that, and yet I'm the one that gets called a sheep? Like I said in an earlier post, in order to properly defend your rights you have to actually have an understanding of what rights you have in the first place.

If people that are so outraged about these alleged incidents of "brutality" would put half as much effort into screaming at the politicians and lawyers that make the laws as they do screaming at the police, maybe something good would actually happen and we would see some change. But most of the people like that are too ignorant to understand that the police enforce the laws set by the politicians, and their actions are defined by the laws set by the politicians.

But hey, ignorance is bliss right?

Here is a news article containing surveillance video stills of the robbery and the police report of the robbery.

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2014/08/breaking-photos-released-of-suspect-michael-brown-robbing-store-before-shooting/

One thing that should be noted is that the stills from the camera showing Mike Brown, and that the stills from video of the initial aftermath of the shooting, have Mike Brown in the same clothing.

Another major item that should be noted is that Dorian Johnson, the second suspect in the robbery, was the friend who was with Mike Brown and is currently the star witness of the lynch mob out for the officer.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

After reading the police report, it appears this was the initial reason for the stop with Michael Brown. This was one of the biggest questions left unanswered for me in this entire incident, why did the police make contact with Mr. Brown in the first place?

The report indicates that the responding officer arrived at the convenience store within minutes of the robbery (the officer was on another call directly behind the store), got a description of the suspects and then continued down the street, knowing that they had just left the store and would still be near by. It's not unreasonable to believe that when the officer attempted to make contact with these 2 males matching the suspect descriptions from the robbery, that Mr. Brown would assault the officer in the same manner he assaulted the store clerk.

That may also explain why the fight reportedly began in the police cruiser when the officer attempted to exit his car.

I'm glad to finally see some additional facts about this incident be released as the investigation continues.

Okay I saw the link c13 posted, read it and watched the eye witness account of the incident, now I really don't know who to believe. If only they would release the autopsy report.

This is NOT a police state. This is the Police taking back their city. How dare these violent no goods come into a town destroy stores and threaten the public like this. The reason why the looting and everything lasted so short was because the police was deployed and the y did their job to stop this.

Don't take this the wrong way...but your views on politics are sometimes a little off.

believe the police....you already know the facts now...all a autopsy report will say, "Yep, he was shot with this kind of gun." (maybe not in those words....but still. LOL)

The eye witness was an accomplice to the robbery, so he would have very little reason to tell the truth.

One thing I do want to say is, why do we have to live in a society where people steal so much, I'm not talking about everyone but the ones that do. Honestly I wish we could live in a world were all people don't steal and actullaly work for their stuff.

Because some people are more poor than others. Because some are more greedy than others. Hell, maybe someone just gets a good kick out of it.

I agree, and I'm sure countless people do.

Our society has completely lost it's way and our values have shifted for the worse. I wish we could fix the mentality in this country and go back to the days where integrity and personal responsibility were the norm, instead of today's "it's not my fault" and "I deserve this and that" mentality.

A man told me the other day, we live in what's called the microwave generation, where people constaly want handouts and don't want to work for the stuff they want.

I totally agree with c13 on this we dont have a reliable witness to refute the officer's statements because he is the friend of the victim and a possible accomplice to the crime that caused them to be stopped by the police in the first place so of course he is going to support his friend. Furthermore this happened in a predominately black community and the victim happened to be black and the officer happened to be white. So of course the community is going to blame the big bad racist police for killing an unarmed  "innocent man".

But if the officer was black what difference would that make that officer was attacked and he was fighting for control of his weapon any person in that situation would use any force necessary to protect themselves officer or not. And the victim was a big boy so unless that officer was big too he was gonna be at a disadvantage and he probably thought his life was in danger. Furthermore the victim isnt as innocent as he is portrayed to be he was a suspect in  a strong arm robbery and look at his pictures hes "mean mugging" the whole time, This was no boy scout but did he deserve to die who knows?? We may never know what truly happened because we only have the officers version of events.

I think its just disgusting that people will use any excuse  to steal and loot stores, yea i know your poor and all that inner city disadvantage crap but that gives you the right to damage property burn down buildings and take whatever you want. And all because the police were doing their job????????

In the aftermath i think the police only reacted to the actions of the protesters sure not everyone was violent and looting but the protests were getting out of hand and the police had to crackdown in order to maintain order. Now hopefully that the police have changed their tactics and their is a new leader the protests will remain peaceful and the community and Law Enforcement can communicate and resolve the issues that they have.

LOL a little off? no your views are not off they are WAY off you don't even know the whole story and you're telling me im off? what kind of kool aid are you drinking? its not like people have been warning about martial law and the militirization of the police
'>
something the founding fathers have warned about but I guess you didn't get the memo....hitler would be so proud, so if its not a police state then what is it? we are not there yet but its accelerating I said this is what a police state LOOKS LIKE big difference in wording buddy try to keep up with the times

Listen bud, I'm not gonna argue with someone who knows nothing of what they are talking about. When people be come violent and start to destroy a town, what would you want to the police to do? Leave it for rioters to destroy your town, or would you want to police to try to stop crime?

Grow up and stop thinking the police are all out to get you.

yawn....you didn't watch the videos therefore you need to grow up you don't know the facts you just repeat the bs media script so I don't take anything you say serious..I think you would know better of all people
