Riots in St. Louis

Featured Replies

Oh yeah I know all kinds of cops commit some form of brutality, I'm just saying the majority of police brutality is committed by white male police officers.

Maybe that's because....most cops are white male police officers. If this man was shot by a black police officer, would you feel different?

As a Jew, and a descendant of people who fled Germany and others who survived the camps, I'm shocked that you fail to understand the intricacies of what really happened in World War 2. What we are see

I watched that video, what I don't understand is that the police officers who were there din't ask what was going on, din't tell the man to put the gun down or nothing just straight shot him, like what the man said it's the same scenario every time white male police officers killing black males, and that's true.

Some one is pointing a gun that looks like an ar-15 at people, including children, in a public place, during a string of mass shootings, and then points it at cops.

It's not a matter of race, it's a matter of stupidity.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

How I would feel is 'the man was shot for no reason, and that police brutality needs to stop' no matter what race.

I was just saying lol. If you were to ask an officer what his job was, he'd probably tell you "to serve and protect the citizens of *wherever*."

Really? Like Really? I was talking about their slogan...

BUT THERE WAS A REASON!!!!!! He went for the cops gun!

It is not exactly accurate one what happened during this incident so Chester how can you sit their saying how this cop has done something wrong. For all we know he could of made the right decision based off what was going off. He is trained to make actions based of what he see's so yes its possible he may of over reacted to the situation or made a mistake but he may of also saved his and others lives by shooting this person.

ummm....nah

LOL

i mean hey it would look awesome to take pics and see helio's fly around and every so often jets  and other fixed wing aircraft fly over.

The same way you know everything is a case of racist police brutality.

Not everything is a case of police brutality oh and that story about the toy gun, yes pellet guns are dangerous but I think the 911 caller was lying, when he said 'he was loading the gun and pointing at people'

Yeah...sure....the caller lied to the 911 operator just to see a person killed.

Seems possible.

Seems possible. But in this situation I think it's safe to say that everybody is to blame here, the offciers should have been more cautious, the Crawford man shouldn't have been waving the gun, and the caller should think twice before making that call.

You are making accusations of what you "think" the caller said. Do you have these 911 calls? Do you know what was said?

Just adding to what Ben said:

Do you know what kind of palette gun it was?

Do you know what it looked like?

Do you know if the 911 caller is familiar to what guns look like?

And do you know that palette guns can and sometimes do look like gun?

I think the officers were as cautious as they needed to be. If some one points a gun at me, I would shoot first before they are able to get a round off and kill me.

The 911 caller should think twice before calling 911 over a possible gun. I think anyone who calls the emergency services over a gun does it to be safe. I think the cops would rather you have the come out to check if someone actually has a gun instead of waiting until something happens.

I agree with you on that, oh and by the way here's the video with the 911 call and the news report.
