Un-usable keys on laptop

Featured Replies

I just got my new laptop and I was super excited to play LCPDFR, but when I started it up I was disappointed when I saw the my F9, F10, and F11 keys where connected to the sound, so I couldn't use it in the game, it there any way to change the buttons? Thanks.

No need to deviate from the standard forum font.

What kind of laptop is it, if you could please post the name I can try to research it a bit.

if it's a HP like mine, you can go to BIOS and change it there. it's something like ''function key'' or ''action key'' or something like that.

It basically makes so you can press F11 and get F11, and for volume or something you will need to hold FN so it flips the thing around.

And no need for a new keyboard

not even bad for wireless connection

Most laptops have a FN (function key).

^ This.  Also look-out for a FN Lock key. Some laptops have it on their keyboards. (basically it switches from FN key always on [so you don't have to press it to do smh, for example turn the sound down], or  off [default]  )

FYI, basically what ini means is, try holding down your FN key & pressing the appropriate keys that you want to press. In your case, F9 / F10 / F11.

Also, I would highly suggest you buy a external keyboard for your laptop (probably a USB Hub too).

It's a pain in the arse to get the laptop keyboard fixed, especially since you'll be without the laptop for days [depending on the problem] (since the keyboard is on the laptop, they'll obviously take the whole laptop to fix the keyboard).
