Thanks for the link aparna, that puts a slight spin on things now.

I am slightly dubious about getting the bulldozer now as is have seen both good and bad reviews and that article kinda changes things.

What do you think. pay $50 extra and get the bulldozer? or save myself $50 and get the phenom ii x4?

Also is phenom II x4 a decent CPU for GTA. Anyone who owns one, whats it like?

The bulldozer is apparently a big disappointment, with it failing to compete with some i5 entry-level Intel processors.

Yeah, thats the impression i'm beginning to get.

Do you think that the Phenom II X4 955 would run GTA smoothly alongside a decent GPU?

I myself use the Phenom II X4 945 BE and it runs perfect. I feel even that my GPU is too slow for the processor some times (I have a GTS 250)

How does your system handle vehicle mods etc? What graphics settings do you have ingame?
