This is still modding your console. The same thing happened on Halo 3, and people got banned for editing game saves.

I don't think anyone doing this will be banned. I've been using real hax in online for months now and so far i've only got my rank reset doing it.

True. I wish the punishment wasn't as harsh. It's not like your hacking and interfering with other players. You're just changing your ped/skin. Maybe R* should add these peds to GTA Online players!

For some reason whenever i do it, even if the only thing i do is change the amount of money i have it freezes at the loading screen, i commented on the forum just waiting for a reply

that is true. when i change to a cop in SP using the mod menu the game thinks i'm a cop. I 've tried to follow an AI chase too and my player would use the megaphone pull over speech
