Your suggestion might be too much for LCPDFR. We would not want to end up like the hot coffee mod and get GTA:IV rated A. As much as your idea was creative we cannot follow through with your suggestion. Please feel free to post any other, non sexual, suggestions when you think of some :)

I personally find it hard to believe that this is a serious response, with no offense intended. James was Director of the Department of Public Relations on GPM and is now on the public relations team for LCPD:FR.

He is clearly defending some people since there are members who do not even want to think​ about necrophilia since it would disgust them. It is true that 'Hot Coffee' is not a mod but the user base of LCPD:FR would plummet if necrophilia was incorporated, that is part of his point.

I find it interesting to reflect upon JetlinerX's original post, and Sam's follow up thread, and then to compare those to how the game has progressed already. It has been a little over a year since the thread was created and it is already amazing clear how much more advanced the mod has become. A year ago it was deemed sort of impossible to have the fire department do anything of any use (besides cause mayhem ), but the developers found a way to make it work. Sam also made a notion that bomb threats probably wouldn't happen, and now even those are being worked on. It is pretty amazing what can happen in a year. Good work, guys.

True... This mod has came a very long way. There is also a lot more future for G17 and LCPDFR. It is nice to know that this mod is still active and coming out with new updates.

I've got a feeling that would cause a lot of crashes.. as in CTD's not Car smashes into it.

Think about it, how would these spawn? where would they spawn? if it was like NFS Hot Pursuit where they spawn down the road, fair enough, but if they spawn just infront of you the game could freak out by the new data and crash..

How about this?

I play a game called Need For Speed World, and on that game they have these things attack you at Heat level 3/4;

The game will say "Rhino Detetced!", you then have to be on your guard as it'll come speeding towards you at 80+ mph and slam straight into you, only a last minute manoeuvre can save you.

So, how about adding a system in like that instead of the roadblocks? Pressing ALT + W will spawn a Police Patriot or NOOSE Enforcer down the road facing you at some speed, it'll try and hit the suspect to disable them.

It isn't easy to tell the AI how to drive. What I mean, is right now when you call for backup the script uses the game's internal script for creating a backup unit and sending it to you. The problem is the developers would have to find a way to tell it exactly how to drive, where to spawn, what speed to drive at, and how to try and target the suspect's car. Jack's idea might be more practical, in that there might be an internal script saying where a roadblock should form, and then that can be hooked and used to create an on-demand roadblock. It is hard to say what would work and what wouldn't work. I know roadblocks have been experimented with but there are still a lot of problems that have to be worked out before they are made usable.

In my honest opinion I do not believe that many people would use that. I don't quite think that it is as "realistic" as a roadblock would be. And after spending 6 to 8 hours a day in teamspeak with the developers I think that they're shooting towards more of a "realistic" environment. Don't get me wrong, it would be a nice system implemented though.

And this is always the heart of the matter. Some people would love to have a key that would instantly blow up the enemy vehicle. And some would not. It's all about demand, and as James also said before, realism. The most realistic features are generally the ones that get selected to be incorporated. The "just for fun ones" are the ones that might get left out more frequently than the realistic ones. Thus, the roadblock would generally have a higher chance of being selected when compared to a Noose Stockade hurdling towards an unsuspecting suspect (thinking about this does make me laugh, though).

ok let me explain it in a different way, if u have completed gta then u know that when u have a level 4 wanted level, when u try to go on a freeway either the noose patriots, or the enforcers appear blocking the road to try and stop u, when the regular patrol units are put there then its not hard to go through the road block, now if the enforcers were there it would be more difficult to get by it.

The devs need to spend a lot of time making sure the stuff they add works (that's why it's been in beta for months). If a lot of people like a suggestion, it may be worth the time to implement. However, I'm pretty sure the "have AI drive down the road and crash into the suspect" idea would only be used by you (not that I don't crash head-on into the suspect myself sometimes, but that's just me). Roadblocks already have an ENTIRE THREAD devoted to them. That would be a much more productive place to post those ideas.

Yeah, but my point about the roadblocks was that this thread exists. Try posting your ideas there instead of threads that you revived from a year ago.
