GTA 5 Scripts and Native Documentation for PC

Featured Replies

So I don't know about some of you but I found out there is about 4500 natives in GTA 5 itself. Thats more than 4 has. But after a friend of mine told me someone has decompiled GTA 5 and pulled the source code together. It's looking like GTA 5 will be able to be scripted but it is gonna be very tough. I have been looking through some of the code and it seams to be looking very nice. They seamed to have used C# alot but also that C++. As a scripter and codder for Servers I think I see hope in it for GTA 5 PC with scripts. With that being said I leave this link to you to look at. There is just to much to read. Hope you enjoy. I know I am reading all the scripts  :wallbash:

I don't know diddly squat about scripting/coding/anything. BUT what I do know is the the PC version is not out yet, and therefore I do not believe we can start making these assumptions until the PC version is Officially released

I understand if I'm completely off, but on my limited knowledge it does seem we cannot rush to any judgement

Alexander knows what he is doing and there is a bunch of Codder on that form who are gonna put together test script for once it comes out. Also console is already being scripted and there are modded lobbies now.

Well, didn't Alexander Blade do a lot of scripting stuff for GTA IV? I'm sure he knows what he's talking about.

Yes he did the same thing for Iv when it was in this stage. I have full trust in him that he will make it where we can get GTA 5 Scripts in there. He is currently working on getting more codes together to confirm more stuff but for now it seams as if basic scripts work

Well so long as in the end there can be an LSPDFR for GTA V PC and you can mod the basic files like add a Simple Native Trainer in there, or whatever the equivalent of that for GTA V will be called, along with being able to change models and vehicles, along with the other basic files, that is all I care about. To all you coders out there: Keep up the good work, I hope you guys can continue cracking the code of GTA V and in the end make it so it can be modded just like GTA IV was or close enough so that way we can all enjoy GTA V on the PC the way it should of been: Chasing after speeders on the highway and tazing deer. Yes!

Yeah, Alexander Blade is legit. If he's posting this sort of thing, it's going to be reliable. Also, the kind of information that seems to be being gathered right now tends to be the same between console and PC (it's not specific offsets, it's the general structure of how V works internally).

Woah, nice! This always leaves a positive light on GTA5's script modding, can't wait to see how close scripts will start to function after the games release on PC.

Some of us scripts have been trying to put some scripts together, but we can't do anything til 5 is out. So until then it's a waiting game on R*

As long as we can have scripts running sooner, and have them at a more advanced stage to begin with, I am happy.

Cheers.

It may take some time for that though, because we need scripthooks and stuff like that made. But I heard Alexander is trying to work on that.
