I'm guessing that I'm not the only one who plays Euro Truck Simulator 2 here so I made this thread to show you guys (who haven't heard of this earlier) that there is a multiplayer mod for ETS 2.

Currently it's in 0.1 Alpha, it's buggy and all but it's a pretty good start :p I just played it for an hour or two and only noticed that there was some problems with the servers and the other truckers in the world!

 

The game itself isn't changed, it's still the same ETS 2 that it was before this Multiplayer mod, only thing that you see now is real players instead of A.I. drivers. There is still a lot of bugs like I said earlier but atleast I didn't find any bugs that would've been too much of a problem for me while I was playing. Of course the incredible lagging players were annoying, as they were just all over the road, but after playing it for a while the lagging stopped and the other players started acting normal.

NOTE: Currently only the Steam version of ETS 2 is supported.

ETS 2 is a pretty awesome game and I can't wait for ATS. This mod however reminds me of the truck driving simulators of SA-MP, and trust me that's not a bad thing. :D

Oh, I remember this.

Saw about it a few months back. I think I'll have to buy ETS on Steam once the mod becomes more stable. Nothing like convoying with your friends!

Well Carrythxd you are not alone! I love the ETS 2 and all other truck simulators out there. Currently i am more excited for American Truck Simulator than ETS 2 MP.

I think i will wait for a beta version of ETS2 MP. The fact that you said its very buggy doesn't sound good and the benefit of truck simulators is that its a lot of fun in single player mode too... But i'll definitely watch out for this Multiplayer mod.

Also, the MP isn't really buggy anymore, they seem to have fixed most of the lagging players and there is only missing some small things.

Only big big problem right now is the fact that the server they have (EU #1) can only hold 1000 players, which is much yes, but at the same time its really small amount of players..

 

The servers are full all the time, theres no way of getting to the server as its full lol

Ive been sitting in that spot for about an hour now waiting to get on to the server.. No luck so far lol

 

My tip to everybody who is playing this game right now, if you get in to the server, stay there. No matter what, it could be your only chance of playing on the server today haha

 

And more thing, the DEVs of this mod are planning on making another server, which would be EU #2, however they havent said anything about when its going to come out =/ 

Theyre also releasing a hot fix for the mod later today with some fixes.

Now I know that, I'm trying to redownload the mod, but the download links lead to a page that can't be found...

 

Well I seem to not be able to get this to work, I can't even get the mod installed. When I go to launch the mod, every time it tells me to mark the directory. I do, and the next time I try it does the same thing!
