Traffic stopping behind emergency cars

Featured Replies

I've just had an idea, that I think would be pretty nice. Whenever you have your lights and siren on in an emergency vehicle, the traffic should never try to overtake you, even when you exit the car. The mod policehelper has the police barrier and various cones that can stop traffic by placing an invisible bike with an invisible driver with no collision on the barrier or the cone. This way the traffic always stops, and doesn't try to get by the barriers (or run into it). I think this same thing could be applied to emergency vehicles. Whenever you get out of the car, an invisible bike with a driver should be placed about 10 meters behind your emergency vehicle, this way you won't get hit when you try to do a felony stop, after a police chase.

Anyone with scripting experience fancy doing it?

LCPDFR 1.b has an option to press 'M' by default, which causes all traffic in a vicinity to stop and remain like that until you press it again. Cannot be compared to wonderful Abraxas' cones, of course...

I just use the Lesser Overtake mod.

The timing with that seems to be exactly the time It takes me to pull over someone, give reason for pull over, ask for ID, & get back to my car to check the ID.

That less overtake mod is a bit buggy for me. Sometimes they do stop behind me, sometimes they don't. Also sometimes they hit me first and then stop and when I'm doing a u-turn they always get stuck behind me, and I have to end up either crashing into them if I want to make it out of there, or slowly manouvering out of there. Plus if I get out of the car, they immediately start to overtake me.
